QUOTE(bryon @ Jun 13 2020, 08:47 PM) TPG unveils first Singapore mobile plan touting 50GB data TPG $10 50GB is good but the no coverage for underground mrt makes it unusable as a main line. use as pure data plan is still ok. and not all mobile headsets can use it to make calls as it only support VoLTE.Singapore's fourth telco, TPG Telecom debuts a monthly mobile plan that offers 50GB data and 300 call minutes and free 1GB roaming data in selected countries for SG$10 (RM30.70) sg postpaid is cheaper than Malaysia postpaid now Unimaginable a few years ago lion city has a lot other cheap and usable postpaid plans by other MVNOs but the data is still limited at average 20GB for close to sdg20 monthy. with this, i would say hotlink unlimited plan is better. i prefer to have buffet style plan that i only pay a fixed price montly and things can continue to be used. unlimited calls and unlimited data at 512kbps after 50GB still make it very usable. |

Our telco data line (MAXIS, CELCOM, Digi, U Mobile, YES 4G, XOX, Yoodo and etc.) is bad and unstable, there is only 50% of chance the line is really congested in our areas.
The other 50% of chance is because someone is using the phone signal jammer to block our line so that we cannot use the data to online, and even call. When we enter a building or our house, if the 4G line suddenly drops a lot, or even drop to H/3G until cannot online, but the line will goes back to 4G normally after leave the building or outside our house, then we can sure that someone is using the jammer to block our line. If I am not mistaken, it is illegal for those who do this according to MCMC. |

Good, but the problem now is coverage and speed. Even in the middle of city the coverage and speed sucks...

QUOTE(azhar75 @ Jun 13 2020, 08:18 PM) After calling Maybank yesterday, today successfully received the very first TAC Code via CUP35... finally I'm free from those "not receiving TAC/OTP/MSOS codes issue".... What's the upload speed of CUP? My relative on old Celcom 38 postpaid. Data seems not enough(about 7 GB per month) even with free WhatsApp. Dunno about HUP35 becoz this is just dummy SIM... CUP35 is unlimited data and calls as I understand, and auto renew. 3 Mbps should be enough. Maybe I'll convince her to use this prepaid plan. Coverage same since it's Celcom. Thought? |
