It’s actually the loss of income in roaming fees. But that said, the US Big 3 all have implemented VoWiFi despite Verizon having the best LTE/LTE-A coverage in US. We don’t know for sure if Maxis and Celcom won’t eventually introduce VoWiFi. But of course, they still can disable VoWiFi from working overseas. Digi blocked VoWiFi outside Malaysia during the early days. And in United Arab Emirates, all VoIP is blocked. Free service like WhatsApp call doesn’t work in UAE. |
