QUOTE(barca96 @ Jun 1 2020, 10:43 PM)
I had a case before where a client who complained to me about another agent who is requests for a higher commission and was commented that this is how the other agent can afford to buy a nice car by always requesting for higher and more and more commission.

So the house owner seems to have a certain view of agents with a nicer car and made it clear she didn't like dealing with that agent.

This is an isolated incident though. Actually, 2x.

Ah those kinds of clients; tell you what, for every client like that, there will be 10x clients who think that you got your car/house/clothes/watches/career/life in good order because you are enthusiastic about your job

Don't drive lesser cars just because of clients that are unable to keep their fingers to themselves. If it wasn't your car, they would still be looking for other excuses for them to ask for a discount. I prefer to win my prospects over based on my knowledge and experience; while my Bimmer is a testament to my abilities and trust afforded to me; if the prospects can't see past solely on the money I make, then I do not want to be my clients because they will be fussy and would bullshit their way for premium holidays, yearly "gifts", etc.

As for myself, since I got my 330i in January I have equaled my 2019 sales by end of May, so it is likely that I will double my 2019 numbers by the end of this year; my performance is based on my abilities as well as my confidence, and the Bimmer reminds me that I am good at my job, it is a life yardstick, so to speak. Plenty of insurance agents spend years and still end up earning similar levels to when they started. I started selling insurance in early 2017, it has been three years since January 2020 when I registered my Sunset Orange; I should have been able to do it in a year after joining, but I took some time through the learning the curves

The commission rate and structure are not adjustable, if the clients wants a piece of that, they can take a hike and find other agents. They have to treat me with as much respect as I give them, we are both on equal grounds, neither party is superior to the other. I do not beg for their patronage; nor should they long for my services
