QUOTE(Mamapapamsia @ May 21 2020, 08:50 AM) Pile of horseshit la Here is tokok section, you don't know meh?Fresh grad just got degree earning 8k? Dont tokkok I know ppl working in the industries above. No fresh grad gets 8k Bank highest oso 4.5k I was just surprised that some people took this tokok seriously till they carry over to jobs and career forum. No banks in Malaysia even Citi MA pays 8k. The highest rate was 5k and bear in mind their MA is reserve for top student and also at least 2 years of exp. MBB consulting does pay about 4k USD, which convert to be above 8k BUT MBB recruitment aren't like any other recruitment : 1) Must be top grades from top 10 uni (or truly exceptional for a fresh gard background) 2) Their yearly recruitment drive intake only a few consultant for the entire ASEAN segment and if they can't find the candidates they want, they don't even take any in AT ALL. I heard that they have not taking in Malaysians for quite a few years already. Shopee GLP - not sure what is this |

QUOTE(Yuuki1122 @ May 21 2020, 09:15 AM) Yes you are right, no bank pays at RM8k. Highest paying banks are CIMB and JP Morgan for their graduate programs at RM5k, next will be Maybank at around RM4.7k My cousin works in one of the MBB as a regional recruiter. MBB consulting firms are still recruiting Malaysian fresh graduates every year, but how do you even apply to it is a different matter. In fact, BCG and Bain are taking in local uni grads in recent years. Shopee Global Leaders Program - relatively new program, so far they only take in 2-3 graduates per year with RM7k She told me that even NUS graduates are having a hard time despite being in top 10 but they could still get the job if they did exceptional on the case studies. They have an automated system to filter out all uni who aren't even in the Top 10 so local uni don't stand a chance. Even if there did invite the best of the best from local uni for interview, it is normally for bench marking purposes and you can't go pass 1st interview unless you are really exceptional. Bear in mind that MBB recruit on a regional basis hence they don't have to take talent in every country every year and they don't really need new consultants every year |

QUOTE(ChenHo123 @ May 20 2020, 02:46 AM) Many forumers here at lowyat share about : Check out his contradict thread lol1. Job hopping to 5 figure salary before 30. 2. Starting pay of fresh grad from Rm5k-Rm7k. (Depending on industry) 3. About how education is not important to get a good job in Malaysia Let me share about the REAL situation that i see in life everyday right now. 1. Many people jobless and those with a job do not jump ship. Those that i do know with upwards of Rm10k salary are the otais aged 40+ or 50+ in high level positions. 2. Many of my peers working retail jobs with Rm1100 to Rm1300 salary. The more successful ones working jobs with Rm2000 to Rm2400. The ones with scholarship and good grades working in MNC or GLC for Rm3000 to Rm4000. 3. Without a degree, you wont even be called to the interview. From personal experience i saw how people's starting salary for fresh grad affected by education level. A degree can expect to earn between Rm2.4k - Rm4k, a diploma Rm1.4k - Rm2.5k and spm Rm900 - Rm1300. Is it just that the place i am in is not successful/Low income area or is some stories in lowyat forum here fairytail? LOL |

Sarcasm aside, RM3.9K gross per mth for a fresh grad is a pretty good figure for a new job secured during these difficult times.
