It is not really helpful. The noise especially footstep (or vibration?) will travel along your wall vertically.

Whoops, almost a year later and I see this thread is still alive lol. You're still facing an issue with your neighbors or it's settled already?

For me, still facing issues with the neighbors above and next door. Already got into an argument with both of them because they cannot control their unruly devil children and allowing them to run around until midnight, banging and hitting the floor and walls. Offered them floor mats but they refused saying they know how to control their kids. Idiotic people.

The couple with 1 kid above my unit seems not always living at same place. But occasionally I still heard footsteps but no longer thumping all the time.
Most important is only occur during day time which is fine for me.

Still praying for no more inconsiderate unit owner living above...

Get a ceiling stomper. Google it.

Maybe buy a nice cushion pair of slippers and ask ur maintenance office to pass to them to wear when they at home

I has similar bad experience for many years, try to complain to management but no use. I had been tahan for many years until now, as it has affect my mental, cant really sleep well，especially during this pandemic, even worst.
Had called to management, email to management, being ignore me. I make police report and police officer ask me find feng sui master or move house...

They can non top make noise with 24x7 duno if doing any criminal activities inside the unit.

However i had provide the evidence to the management and police on the noise above unit make during midnight and early morning. Police also dont want go and check and Management seem dont dare go to that unit as well as i had been complain for many years which never have improve.

I cant even access to their level, so I drop a friendly note to their mailbox , they had took the letter but remain no change. I had out of clue what else i can do. How come got such of people...

It is not just footstep but drilling, hammer, moving furniture nonstop. i really no idea how come a house got so many thing to repair daily...

Your management office should at least get the security guard to go up and check to see what they’re doing. Unfortunately, there are too many selfish people living amongst us who think they have the right to annoy their neighbors.

In your case, try to shame them by shouting at them, threaten MO and JMC to do something about it or retaliate and buy a ceiling thumper or even a rubber mallet to knock on the ceiling or wall every time they make noise.

Nothing much u could do really... its true, before 11pm, u can't complaint them... call police come also can't unless we are talking about extreme kind of noise

Ya, police ask me call feng sui master perhaps got ghost. I ask guard bring me up to the unit to talk but during this pandemic, guard don't allow. Seems don't want solve the issue. I had write the letter drop to their letter box and they took it but remain same. I really can't sleep well even wear ear plugs. This really crazy ...no single day I can have a peaceful night to sleep tight. I really no idea why they got so many stuff to do at home daily and so many furniture to move, even I give them protector to stick on their furniture legs.
