hello, new to this... some questions:
1) asking... versa and SA Simple, any other alternative?
2) for current month, whats the interest rate offered?
*
Go+ but interest average daily at 1.47% pa

Both versa and as simple is at 2.1% pa and 2.08% pa

Don’t look at yearly and look at MTD and weekly

My cap is 3 figures max, so I guess I should be fine..  brows.gif

Is there any alternative to crypto that is slightly lower risk? I heard of UT, but don't know where I should start..
*
There are many other ways to it and you can pm me anytime if you need guidance to it dry.gif

Hey all! I managed to refer 4 friends to join the recent GO+ Campaign.

Anyone knows whether this 4% bonus will be paid to me each day until contest period ends on 10-Aug or until reached RM1.6m or until 12 months? Don't quite get the T&C.
*
Not daily but until you reach rm0.01 bonus will be paid with 4%pa which only until it reaches rm1.6million bonus to be paid out or until 10 Aug 2021

Technically you only received bonus of 0.25% per every friend referred with active Go+ which gives you additiona rm0.00025 per every rm10 in your account

Won't really sweat the details on projected or trailing returns when the difference is so miniscule. Whichever gives the best convenience to access and fast liquidity generally wins. Just a temporary place to park excess funds waiting to be invested. Still very impressed by Versa, request on Monday morning, money out and ready by Tuesday mid-day.
*
The goal of MMF is liquidity hence most idiots are debating over 0.001% which minisicule unless it is million dollar injection

Versa by far consistency with liquidity gains outperform the returns easily

Be aware that AMIncome has bonds in it hence it can go downhill anytime but with SA pledge to maintain 2.4% it is a small reassurance but it will be temporary move by SA till they find a better Shariah fund rclxms.gif

Any reasonse why SA simple change from Eastspring to amincome fund?
*
Tax purposes

Even Versa has but minisicule because it will deducted from the fund as expenses

its fixed income bond with invest grade so no issue as they are no trading hold until maturity
*
It is mostly holding corporate bonds linked to GLC which tends to underperform short term while supported by money instruments otherwise this fund will be gone in no time now with taper tantrum in play doh.gif

Only reassurance by SA which gives 2.4% pa then for short term play until time is right to buy into SA

I was wondering how can Stashaway Simple and Versa still advertise >2% p.a. return when OPR is like 1.75%, even the top performing MMF on FSM is <2% p.a. for the past 6 months. Its either outdated or some hidden catch.

Stash Away Simple
Underlying Fund: AmIncome Fund
Consists of 50% Bonds and 50% MM Deposits, not sure whether bond downgrade will lead to loss, should really disclose it on the front page instead of digging through the FAQ and multiple google search.

Versa
Underlying Fund: Affin Hwang Enhanced Deposit Fund
Didn't seem to exceed 2% p.a. for the past 6 months
*
Projected rate from 2020 as the fund daily prices changes

Most important is the payout when you notice is dipping find somewhere else park your money short term instead

QUOTE(Kadaj @ Jul 20 2021, 09:56 AM)
Agree.
I get less than 2% pa.
Better park my money in sspn for 4% pa.
*
Question is can sspn guarantee rate of return and able to liquidate within a day?

Worse place to put your money into now and better off buying REITs or dividend stocks in SGX

not same risk investment also

MMF is more for fund parking but REITs and dividend stocks are somehow not so suitable for parking.  nod.gif
*
MMF is only good for weekly parking while REITs and dividend stocks are more for quarterly parking hence it is better for medium term parking as compared to MMF

Even local REITs at rm0.01 gain still close to 1% monthly gain compared to MMF

The only difference is the settlement time

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Aug 4 2021, 03:03 PM)
Actually there are reits which are super stable and suitable as parking place. One of them is parkway life REIT.
*
Before COVID 20 used to be even better but still consistent as it recession proof trust hence stable dividend stocks

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Aug 4 2021, 07:37 PM)
For those in sg market only one REIT can do that. Parking place and that's parkway life.

If you go us market so many companies can function as parking place. You only need to look.
*
Even UK, Germany Australia France has many those companies which ones need to take time to find out just that ppl lazy for gains instead doh.gif

where do you guys put it in? SA? Versa?

Just dump into Versa better liquidity with 1 business day withdrawal and fortnightly payout

SA simple forget about too slow 3 days to process withdrawals with monthly payout doh.gif

Thanks brah. I guess I'll check out versa too

Don’t bother with Simple too slow processing and liquidity and getting worse now on Simple

SA SRI need to be patient until the China’s Storm over then you will start seeing green

It does not take days to reflect if you use fpx, instant . As for interest calc i dont think its much of an issue. If we are singaporean or the rest of the world without sspn deposit facilities then i can understand. Whatsmore no service charges. I m not deviating from the topic but i do have a sizeable fund that i m finding avenue for but this mmf in Malaysia has been puzzling me. Seems my intellect may be lower than average.

Compounded daily interest and liquidity which SSPN can’t offer doh.gif

Just clarify on the compounding. As long as we do not withdraw from KID Save then it is still compounding based on the said interest. Am I right?
*
Yes as long as daily compounds the rate will be increasingly every day unlike FD doh.gif

Understand no pidm, but bank rate totally cannot now.
KDI Save is fixed rate right? the risk is unless Kenanga investment bank goes bankrupt
what is wY?
i am looking for fixed rate of return.
main still with bank, plan to partial into MMF
*
TYPo it is way to go

KDI save is 3% pa until end of this year up to 200k and the money is held in trust by Pacific Trustee so very low chances it will goes bust
