I had mine delivered to a Collection Point and I collected it from there within an hour of notification. Much faster, less heartache waiting the whole day, and more secure. Just need to provide the tracking number and OTP that was sent by SMS & email.
*
Didn't know self collect at collection point is quite convenient. Maybe I should try that once in a while. Anyway enjoy your new phone 😁

except night shot on camera which hurt by lacks of OIS.

*
Probably can't compete with pricier alternatives which use larger sensor but it's not bad at all, this is night mode right?

QUOTE(Landmarkyap @ Jun 13 2020, 08:36 PM)
Enjoy full screen without notch nor punch hole
*
Mind if I bold this 😁. Looking at u guys o Sammy, Huawei, and especially u oneplus. Goddammit why do u have to introduce a circle of dead pixel in your 8 series bangwall.gif

QUOTE(attw @ Jun 13 2020, 09:15 PM)
Lots of cheapo rip-offs that look like the rugged armour from Spigen smile.gif
*
Yeah I think u r right. There's no way spigen will produce this if they don't publicise it in their official website. Really hope ringke will design case for f2 pro soon.

VoLTE, by default is not enabled on most Xiaomi phones, Poco F2 Pro included.

If you want to enable VoLTE, check your
• Settings
• SIM Cards & mobile networks
• Your Telco (eg. Digi)

If VoLTE is not stated in the page, your VoLTE is not enabled.

To enable VoLTE, go to your dialler & type
*#*#86583#*#*

You will get a message that "VoLTE carrier check was disabled"

Now go back to "Settings/SIM card.../Your Telco" & you will see the VoLTE toggle button appearing: button slided to the right means VoLTE is now activated, and a small notification will now appear on the top left notification bar.

NB: please note not all Telco has activated VoLTE services
*
Nice... So volte works with digi so far, no issue, any hiccups? What about vowifi? *#*#869434#*#*

Wish I could try this on my phone but maxis doesn't support both 😭

That SOT is fantastic.

Is it true, no gesture navigation ?
*
QUOTE(HazzyNight @ Jun 14 2020, 12:38 PM)
Yup unfortunately no, i was surprised as well cause rarely seen phone with huge display without gesture navigation, hopefully they fix this in software updates next.
*
QUOTE(attw @ Jun 14 2020, 12:41 PM)
That's a lot of usage in a day biggrin.gif
Yeah, hopefully they can add it in a future software update.
*
What firmware version are u guys on? My k30 pro got gesture navigation out of the box.

QUOTE(chilskater @ Jun 14 2020, 12:49 PM)
Same procedures eh..type it and see the notification disabled and select it

Just knew we have to manually activate for Xiaomi phone. Adoi...
Now activated.

Anyone tried vowifi yet see if its working on digi? I've been more than a decade maxis user, tempted to switch to digi, but will wait another year to see whether they're gonna implement volte/vowifi features or not.

How's the k30 pro? Where did you get it from? Am thinking of getting the zoom for OIS.

Thanks.
*
Loving it, been using it for 3 weeks now. Definitely an upgrade over my Samsung Note8. I bought the zoom edition from fastech lim, the seller got a shop in subang area. It took about 15 days to arrive from China during cmco.

Still no updates as till now but it didn't concern me cause I've more used to standard navigation button.
*
I see. Mine was 11.0.16.0 out of the box.

Cool! Will check out fastechlim.

Are you using the China rom?
*
No. It was China Rom out of the box. But I flashed it with xiaomi.eu rom a week after and currently using it.

Global MIUI 11.0.2. I don't mind the lack of gestures too but it's a nice to have.
*
Seems like most people don't mind lack of gestures and global rom update is kinda slow tbh. So long it's stable and bug free, who cares.

two day in malaysia and complaint slow update ?
*
QUOTE(attw @ Jun 14 2020, 03:53 PM)
I think he means in general, which I agree. My Redmi Note 7 is still on January security update and our Poco F2 Pro is on April security update.
*
Lol, nope, not complaining, just saying. I don't use global rom so it has nothing to do with me. Global rom is known for slower update compared to China rom. It's like it has become a general consensus for experience miui users, at least that's what I learned from browsing through xiaomi forum everyday. Not a bad thing though. There are pros and cons slow vs fast/frequent updates. It's just that I'm a bit curious why poco firmware seems like a bit outdated out of the box.

i use my smart phone for normal staff with all some weird email add, so no worry on my site.
*
I think its all good for most consumers. Only people with great enthusiasm or OCD would worry 😅.

Edit: slow security update is a different story though since it's essential for security and privacy purpose.

hi! i also got k30 pro zoom fr fastech lim as well.
do u mind to share what is the corect way to flash euro rom? TQ
*
Hey there, finally someone in the same boat 😄️

I refer this guide to unlock bootloader,

https://www.ytechb.com/how-to-root-redmi-k3...ock-bootloader/

After unlocking the bootloader, I follow the guide from xiaomi.eu to flash the rom.

For miui 11, https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/miui-11...-release.52628/

OR

For miui 12 beta, https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/20-5-28.56038/

Things to note, in case you didn't know,

1. Requesting to unlock bootloader will take one whole week to get permission from xiaomi server. If u r planning to flash EU rom, it's best to do this first before setting up adb on your PC.
2. Unlocking bootloader will full wipe your data so you might want to make a full backup beforehand.
3. Redmi k30 pro standard edition, zoom edition and poco f2 pro can be flashed with the same EU rom. Not sure with other region rom (I don't dare to try since the anti-rollback from the official rom might cause hard-brick).
4. We also share the same TWRP custom recovery.
5. In the xiaomi.eu website, look for Redmi K30 Pro rom (or lmi) to download, strictly follow the xiaomi.eu guide to flash. DONT EVER WIPE SYSTEM AND PERSIST PARTITION.

Hope this helps and good luck 😄️

any major different between eu n China rom ?
*
Major difference: ads and bloatware. Less background activity.

Others I can't really remember since I only use China rom for one week.

Have you tried to exclude whatsapp from battery optimization and see if it happens again?

Sorry, another two things I forgot to mention,

1. You need to remember your password to unlock your lockscreen. Because at the start of TWRP custom recovery, you will be prompted to key in the same password to decrypt. Else flashing or wiping will fail.

2. By default, if I remember correctly, the provided twrp will be in Chinese language. It'd be no problem if you know to read Chinese language. Otherwise just google it to find the language changing guide for TWRP.

Alternatively you can use tasker to switch it off.

Agree. Quite expensive. As for me the price and curve are the supporting reason, the lubang is the deal breaker. 😭️
