Nice, three more days to go rclxm9.gif
*
Yeah, and the Poco launches a week later laugh.gif

+ for the Poco: SD865, AMOLED, Full Screen, Easier to get 3rd party accessories (same as K30 Pro), IR port (which I hardly use)

+ for the X3: 120hz refresh rate, Cheaper, Better zoom capabilities, Realme UI (I'm using a Realme 6 now, so I prefer this over MIUI)

Anything else I missed?

QUOTE(WA300 @ May 30 2020, 07:16 PM)
So you gonna sell off your Realme 6 which you bought 2 to 3 months ago?
*
Yeah, once I'm used to the new phone (be it the X3 or the F2 Pro) - maybe 2 to 3 weeks of usage then I will let my Realme 6 go.

If I find the new phone to be below my expectations then I'll probably sell them and stick to the Realme 6, which I highly doubt will be the case.

No matter which one you choose, should be better than Realme 6. So the chances for you to sell off your Realme 6 very high...😁
*
Hahaha, yeah, think so too smile.gif

QUOTE(Jaclow @ May 30 2020, 07:39 PM)
X3 got 5g?
*
Nope, it uses a SD855+ chipset, no 5G support

QUOTE(bangolufsen @ May 31 2020, 12:46 AM)
Between the two, poco f2 pro is definitely superior.

In terms of camera and processor. Also got things like headphone jack. I’m also thinking if want to pre-order but hate the fact it don’t have HDMI output. I like the fact it doesn’t have notch.
*
QUOTE(bangolufsen @ May 31 2020, 12:50 AM)
Yeap the psychological warfare that we consumers must go through.

Actual rrp of poco f2 pro is actually RM1999 but they make you believe you are getting a deal. Who can resist that?
*
QUOTE(bangolufsen @ May 31 2020, 12:51 AM)
You are right, but with snapdragon 865, Qualcomm makes it compulsory to have 5G. So you are guaranteed 5G if you bought any snapdragon 865 phone this year.

will F2 got ghost touch issue? i'm selling my F1 because of this  sweat.gif
*
QUOTE(5zigen @ May 31 2020, 10:11 AM)
Pray they not use the lousy/cheapo parts again.
F1 with touchscreen issues (majority ppl have it) gaming experience sux... especially for those games that requires high precision and  0 mistakes... one random ghost touch or sudden lost touch can make you throw the phone.
Many friends ask me if they should buy f1 for gaming and my answer always "No"
*
It's an AMOLED display this time around, so I'm sure it's gonna be superior to the low cost LCD screen of the F1. Besides, there hasn't been any reports of ghost touch issues on the K30 Pro and since it is essentially the same phone, I think it should be OK smile.gif

U aiming for poco bro?when is the promo price. Maybe interested to try also. Haha
*
I'm torn between the Poco F2 Pro or the Realme X3 Superzoom, bro. But yeah, I'm definitely gonna get one to try eventually, just a matter of which one to try first, hahaha...

The Poco F2 Pro promo will be on June 10th, RM1999 for the 6/128 config. Value for money SD865 device smile.gif

QUOTE(mfa682 @ Jun 1 2020, 01:30 PM)
Made up your mind already? Care to share some thoughts? Here's some of my thoughts regarding aod, video call and music podcast with poco f2 pro (disclaimer: I don't have a poco f2 pro, but I have redmi k30 pro zoom which the specs are quite similar, and they both have the same firmware code. And I don't own a Note 10 lite either, but I do have a Samsung Note8 in the past).

Aod:
Its obviously better on Samsung phones. Drain less battery (1% vs 2%), better execution (double tap notification on Samsung aod brings you straight to the corresponding apps, while on Poco it does nothing). Aod turns off automatically and immediately as soon as the phone gets into the pocket or the display is facing down - less battery drain) while with Poco it takes literally a minute or more to turn the aod off in similar situation. While I have to admit the new animated aod on miui 12 looks pretty cool, the way how Samsung handle is still better and more practical in my opinion.

Video call:
Shoudnt be a problem so long u r making static call and not walking/running around. The front camera doesn't have EIS, let alone OIS. So video call will become shaky if u r moving around with the Poco phone. Not sure about note 10 lite.

Music/podcast:
Pros: Hi-res resolution certified paired with wired headphone.
Minor cons: Hi-res doesn't mean the phone drives high impedance headphone, but in most cases shouldn't be a problem for lower impedance headphone. Other than that, when pairing with bluetooth headphone, the volume controls on both headphone and the phone are separated.

Another cons of poco is that ads are built into the system. Some people say ads cannot be disabled while others claim they can disable the ads. Other way round is to flash the phone to EU Rom where the built in ads are removed by the developers.

There you have it. Hope it helps somehow.
*
Ads are the most annoying aspect of MIUI. I wonder if they also exist in their premium Mi 10 series. It's OK to tolerate the ads when you know you are paying cheap for the phone, but at the price they are charging for the Mi 10 series and to still expect buyers to tolerate the ads would be an injustice laugh.gif

Yeah, the xiaomi flagship isn't cheap anymore. IMHO, oneplus 8 Pro is way much better value for money, and better in most aspects too.
*
True, the price points of the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro competes directly with the OP8 and OP8 Pro, and I'd agree those would be better options.

Haha SD865 ftw
*
I think the experience on the X3 Superzoom won't be too much different from my current experience with the Realme 6. Besides, I did say if the phone comes below RM2k I will buy it and try, so it might be disingenuous not to, hahaha.

But yeah, it's the cheapest SD865 experience for now smile.gif

I'm not sure if it's totally matte. It has a slight slippery feel unlike the roughness that matte colour usually gives.

Iinm the back is covered with gorilla glass, and together with the base colour it's like a matte colour with marble like reflection that gives a "depth" look. Sorry damn it's really hard for me to describe lol.

Regardless what it is, it's not a fingerprint magnet. I'm kinda tempted to use it naked but then since I'm going to use this phone for at least 2 years, so I put it back into my tpu casing 🤣
*
Hahaha, ok, I’ll probably be using it with a case too.

haha shit

you really is king of snapdragon huh

i think i also will jump ship soon after boring with 2 hours charge 0-100 hahahaha

brows.gif  icon_idea.gif

no more exynos for 2020
*
Hahaha, I have no loyalty to Snapdragon bro, even my current Realme 6 on Mediatek is doing great - going into third month of usage already, hahaha... For me, the charging speed is not an issue. I'm more bothered by overnight/idle battery drain which seems to plague Exynos processors, so yeah, no Exynos for me this year unless it comes super cheap and I want to try it for fun, hahaha..

RealMe X3 is interesting, but I'm used to MIUI duo app where both apps works seamlessly together.

Is there another manufacturer Android OS that have this capability?

Are you gonna get the Poco F2 Pro then? smile.gif

Yeah, was thinking that too, hahaha...

Also, having seen this video I'll probably go for the blue option as it looks pretty striking smile.gif
