What's the risk of buying an AP phone rather than original other than shorter warranty? Any significant difference between AP and original (take example: K800i =D)?

Once I heard that if we want to upgrade firmware of an AP K800i, must pay ar? Does anyone knows the price?

btw, which company is the best among the APs? Avaxx or CLS or etc...

about AP phones.. let's say i encountered a problem with it.. then i send it to the place i bought for repairing.. where will they send it to repair? i'm living in kuching, and if the AP company is based in KL, they'll send it there?

erm Motorola authorized distributor are MDM, Brightstar ,action rite?

well... i think lots of ppl would say...

if u can take care of ur hp very nicely ----> go for AP hp

if u can't jaga ur hp wan... ------> go for ORI hp

Sapura set is original,u can send it back to any nearest NOKIA CARE CENTRE or Mobile technic. Sapura set is usually were sell by a company like Maxis,Digi just like when they are doing promotion or something like that. That is what i know so far.

RISK is higher lor, some AP are only cover for PCB/BOARD only,some doesnt cover for lcd,batt,charger. But Original set fully cover ur set.
let say u bought AP set, u might be unlucky if ur set were faulty.

The risk i could say is the chances for AP set being faulty is much higher than ori set.
For flashing software/firmware, if ur set is original and still have warranty u can send it for free,some AP company will charge u.

avaxx is consider as ORI set, CSL is AP set which is the best among other AP company.

yeah for sure. But also depend on which AP company, some AP company like CSL have lots of branch.

how do i know if my motorola e8 are ap or ori phone? and are Satellite Technics, Zitron and MDM are the only authorized distributor? got other authorized distributor beside this three...

if u didn't buy it from those 3 distributor... then the chances ur hp is AP set is very high.

well... look at the receipt. if the receipt is the normal receipt with just the shop name,address. with no main distributor logo there... it's most likely to be AP set.

at the back of my motorola e8 got Brightstar sticker (shining)... is it a AP or Ori?

2 check ap or ori...
1st u must know wat is the main distributor of ur hp brand...
then check ur IMEI...if ur display IMEI same vit ur sticker bhind ur hp n box...(must same at 3 places)
then normally ur hp is ori...( i said normally caz sometimes ap's display IMEI might same vit the box de...but rare la)
2rd ur warranty card...c izit same vit the main distributor...
3rd...if still cant understand...plz refer 2 1st page...
finally...compare the prices(jk)

Can some one tell me are there any links for a complete list of AP distributors? I know there are in the first page but it's not enough for me because I'm buying a HP, and when I asked for the AP company name a lot of them I have never heard of. Thanks!
