Xperia 1 III S$1899 but got better gift, bundled with WH-1000XM4 and leather back case (shown on banner but not in their pre order listing), and their specs got 5G band as well

And here in MY bundled old stock WF-1000XM3 and no 5G atm

hardware support 5G but ultimately telco do not have 5G for user to use.. what for

Now just got system update

Yea, would be great if next update could include 5G as well.

My HK set is flash to SEA set with newflasher
here is my step:

After flash to SEA version, my Xperia 1ii can use the VoLTE on Malaysia telco (Celcom)

1. Just download the firmware using XperiFirm
2. After finish download the firmware, you will get a folder with firmware version (like XQ-AT52_Customized SEA_58.1.A.5.280-R2B)
3. Extract the newflasher_v43, you u set alot file like newflasher.exe, newflasher.arm32 etc, copy all the file to your firmware folder
4. Now make your Xperia 1ii boot to FLASH MODE, back to the firmware folder, run newflasher.exe
5. Reboot mode at the end of flashing, I select poweroff, so i type "p" and ENTER
6. Optional step! Type 'y' and press ENTER if you need GordonGate flash driver, or type 'n' to skip. This I type 'n' to skip
7. Newflasher will start flash your Xperia 1ii
8. While newflasher ask if you want to flash persist img, just type 'n' and it will skip flashing persist
9. Waiting until finish, then power on ur Xperia 1ii and you will flash to SEA version (or other version your download)

*IMPORTANT, THE FIRMWARE YOU NEED TO FLASH CANNOT OLDER VERSION THAT UR MACHINES FIRMWARE VERSION, IT WILL SHOW CORRUPT AFTER FLASH, THEN YOU NEED TO FLASH BACK YOUR OWN REGION VERSION TO FIX*

Customized SEA LATEST VERSION IS 58.1.A.5.330
Customized HK LATEST VERSION IS 58.1.A.5.280
Customized TW LATEST VERSION IS 58.1.A.5.330

Hi bro, just want to clarify, the MY set does not have 5G band support due to a hardware or software limitation? Can it be unlocked once we have 5G network launched for MY telcos via an OTA update ?

Considering to give this phone a try, but need to know whether should I get a local set or international set.

i have issue to perform apps data backup from my xperia 1 ii,

error, couldn't backup up data, try again later (apps, sms,device setting etc)

photo don't have any issue backup using google drive.

have try most of suggested steps.

anyone having idea to solve this?

Just gotten my Imos case

Feels premium, nice grip.

I also added a hydrogel film to the clear window to protect it.
Lucky it fitted well without cutting.

No need to cut, it fits nicely on the case clear plastic.. I bought 2 to install. First one full of bubbles when I not good at installing. 2nd install was almost perfect. Tip, take your time and do it slowly.

I think Devilcase will look better as Imos one looks military.

But take note:

A lot of nice Xperia 1 ii accessories are out of stock already. So you better order fast.

so looking to buy either IMOS or Devilcase ...

devilcase in lazada can get around rm100+

Imos doesn't feel nice on the hands, there are some edges at the back. This case is meant for grip.

Devilcase more urban looking and seems like not so grippy as Imos.

Buy both lah..

I got a XQ-AT72 today too. Flashed to XQ-AT52 SEA 330 then realise my mistake too late. Should've flashed to SEA 280 as CN also at 280 only. Now I can't go back to CN280. Everything works except SIM no service
