U had both Omega and Titan??
Essentially the difference is just the size of the chair right?

Yea I was also thinking to invest in a chair during this period.. Long hours of sitting infront of the computer is hurting my back and butt. HAHA

Please look elsewhere. DO NOT CONSIDER SECRETLAB. I REPEAT. DO NOT EVER CONSIDER SECRETLAB. Your money can be spent elsewhere with a much more quality chair. To be honest, my rm150 pvc chiair hold up better than this 500SGD crap.

Holy crap! I thought i was the only one

I had the worst experience with them so far

i first bought the omega series like 4-5 years ago, all was fine and dandy. The problem started 3 years ago (only use for 2 years), the seating area started to crack, i emailed them and they said the leather is showing wear and tear and due to high humidity (eg sweating or atmosphere). They advise me to wipe the chair dry after every end of the day.

Look, i am not going to manage the chair, for the price i am paying i assume the chair would be high quality and doesnt need micromanaging from my part. And they are a singapore company, how much of an atmospheric difference do we have? Both malaysia and singapore have more or less the same humidity, and i doubt singaporeans would experience something different from us.

Ok, i though to myself and gave them another chance. I said why dont i get the seating area replaced. They even gave me a discount. A few days later i got the seat, to my horror they sent the wrong color. I was bloody furious at that point. I demanded for a correct color, and it was sent after a few days. And it took them 2 long months to have the wrong chair collected, after i threaten them that i would throw the seat out as my house is not their warehouse.

A few weeks ago, the back rest area leather is starting to peel off! FML! And now the seating area is also peeling off, which i replaced like a year and a half ago....

I am not giving them another chance after seeing that you guys are having the same trouble

Bad customer service
Bad quality products

I feel like setting the chair on fire and take a video and send to them...that’s who upset i am with them.

I saw some posts recommending Ikea's office chairs, so I'd like to share my experience with the Millberget that I bought in 2017.

The seat did crack at the bottom last year and the armrests start flaking by that time until I had to use cling wrap on the latter to prevent more of its pieces from falling to the ground. As for the former, I have to put a used towel on it. The backrest still holds up fine, tho.

I'd probably shop around for a better office chair one day, but not at this moment until I move into my new house.

Look elsewhere, lol not secretlab. U will regret it. Maybe if ur budget allow, can look for real leather one, otherwise go for fabric one.

ill share my experience here...mine was bought around Rm1.1-1.2k ish 5 years ago, in my case the leather start ripping off near 4.5 years of usage (mind u I do not take care of the chair at all, only thing I make sure is my bare skin is never in contact with the PU leather).

As for seats wise, i'll say it is the best chair Ive ever sat on(havent tried on herman miller and steelcase etc so dont judge me)

People that say for the price u pay u shudn't need to maintain it is like saying I bought an expensive car i shudn't need to do routine maintenance, and the price of a SecretLab chair is only 1/10 of a Herman Miller chair

Once it start peeling all u see everyday on the floor is small piece of leather peeling off, it gets really annoying.

For my next chair I will probably consider steel case as they are much affordable than Herman Miller but need to wait after MCO to go one of the authorized outlet before making final decision.

Anyone know how should we dispose a chair like this probably, just throw it to recycling center?

I think the big difference is the bare skin contact part. But you cannot expect everyone wear long pants while sitting on the chair. Well it's just not practical isn't it.. ya I agree the foam are still very well holding on. Not an issue for that now.

Went to check on it's price. I recall avoiding that chair due to the high price as I wasn't willing to plonk down near RM 500 (and above) for an office chair.

I'm okay for an office chair which costs RM 400 and below, but above that, nope, not interested.

ur lucky u fond this post lol when I buy it that time I don't see much discussion on this so i fall into the pit haha

1 thing that is a plus side for all this 'gaming chair' is its design helps me sits at a correct and upright posture, take it from me who used to have scoliosis.
A chair that make u sit correctly and comfortably for long hour is very important in the long run
else u will find back pain slowly coming towards you

IKEA markus chair does support your lumbar region well too. At a way more cheaper price. For long hour sitting, u need to sit upright and the lumbar support is very important too.

Yeah that's the main main. It depends on those who sit on it and what they are wearing

Then again some are pretty much sub par quality chairs now matter how you look at it

My markus chair lasted quite a while, now there's a 2 inch long busted seam that exposed the foam underneath

Still can sit though. I'll probably replace it once the seam turns into 5 laugh.gif
