--- Roaming X Hotlink ---
I'm hotlink user.
I would like to activate roaming (to pakistan), what are the procedures?
Can I call any numbers / email instead of going the Maxis Center? (I don hv time to go there for weekdays)
Or can I walk into the Maxis office in Plaza Sentral (I'm working at that area)?
Thank you!

Additional questions:
1. how my family & fren going to call me while I in pakistan (on roaming)? stil call to my mobile number (012-1234567) ?
2. how am i going to call my fren (012-9876543) while I in pakistan (on roaming)? stil call my fren's number (012-9876543) ?
3. can i do topup while i in roaming (i bring along additional topup ticket from m'sia for backup purpose) ?

If you are on Prepaid, your international roaming are automatically activated.

BUT, my advise is don't pick up any call from your friend. Best if you use the prepaid over there and call them back. Why? Because they could call you at local charges, BUT you will be charges at a SUPER expensive rate for the roaming services, you will be paying for the pakistan and malaysia telecos.

How expensive? You judge
1. In Thailand - Postpaid, receive call for 20 seconds, being billed for RM5
2. In Singapore - Prepaid, receive call for 60 seconds, being billed for RM1.50
3. In Singapore - Prepaid, receive call for 1 min 20 seconds, being billed for RM20 sweat.gif doh.gif shakehead.gif

Even you sms back, it could cost you around RM1-RM2

I didn't expect the interruption could be that severe. I thought reloading is not able to perform during midnight. This time is more than that. Roughly 2 weeks of no reloading period starting 28th May to 12 June (IIRC).
