so now im confused whether to subscribe Family Plus 50 or both of us take up the Value Plan 50. i will be the principal & 1 line will be my supplementary. from what i understood, both plans will have the 20 hours free talk time between principal & suplementary line. other than that, are there any differences? cant seem to decide between these two.
*
VP50 + Family Plus 50

pro: free calls (20 hours) and sms (2000) between lines, other things being equal. call rates/ sms rates to others is the same as VP50

con: you better hope the other person who is holding your supplementary line PAY his portion of the bill, because maxis will bill the principal line.

VP50 + VP50

pro: 2 separate line under 2 different persons, each one takes care of his own usage/payment.

con: all the benefit of free calls/sms and credit sharing enjoyed by family plans not applicable to you

thanx for the clarification. icon_rolleyes.gif

then i will go wif Family Plus 50 + VP50. but do they ask for the other person I/C for the supplementary line? what other details are needed? or does he/she need to be present when applying for the suplementary line?

Only your IC needed. All the family supplementary line is under your name. There is a clause in their T+C that you are responsible for all the supplementary line. If you friend use the line to do illegal things, then the police will come after you...

RM25 if im not mistaken. Last time I changed at Maxis KLCC.

BTW, I had serious prob with my 3G sim when i upgraded before. Finally they changed back to normal sim. Looks like some of their 3G sim batch are problematic...

Maxis chairman, two directors resign

KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Megat Zaharuddin Megat Mohd Nor has resigned as Maxis Communications Bhd chairman along with two other directors.

Megat Zaharuddin and independent directors Tan Sri Syed Anwar Jamalullail and Robert Boyle submitted their resignation letters earlier last week. Their decision to quit was accepted by the board at a meeting yesterday.

With their resignations, there are no more independent directors on the Maxis board.

At the same board meeting yesterday, three nominees from Saudi Telecom Co (STC) were appointed to the board.

In June, STC, Saudi Arabia's largest phone company said it was taking a 25% stake in Binariang GSM Sdn Bhd, the parent company of Maxis, in a deal worth RM11bil.

According to sources, the three had wanted to resign earlier but delayed their decision due to the exercise to restructure Maxis and take the company private.

It is learnt that Megat Zaharuddin had wanted to go earlier this year but the sudden retirement of Datuk Jamaludin Ibrahim made him defer his decision.

"Tan Sri Megat (Zaharuddin) decided to stay on for a while to allow the new management team to settle down and now that they have, he thought this was the most opportune time to relinquish his post," a source said.

If you do not know who is Robert Boyle, he's one of the chief auditors at Maxis. A chief auditor resigning just after a year? This must be scary.
