Maxis, I want an answer to this:
What will happen to all those caller ringtones I purchased before?



You know what that means?

This means that caller ring tones like those Jay Chou, S.H.E, Michael Wong(Wang Guang Liang), Jolin Tsai and all the very famous HK & Taiwan albums have all been removed? WTF?
I only can find polyphonic ringtones on your site for some of these artises..

Maxis reputation so bad ar? Untill all the HK/Taiwan label companies all end/terminate your contract?
Bollywood songs library expanded issit?

If you take a look most of the label companies are Taiwanese and HK based ones that cancelled their contract with Maxis.No reason given but who knows?Anyhow you still get great tuneslike this on the MusicUnlimited portal like this one:

Their Prepaid system sometimes go sot sot one.When your line get barred(cannot call out) you still can access Wap one eh.
I wish it could even make calls out when my balance is used up for maybe say 1 day. But need to be careful lor because soemtimes it goes with negative balance and when you top up next time this amount will be deducted immediately and some will complain where did their money went.

Maxis couldn't allow this promotion to go on forever because they are actually losing revenues so that they can gain more customers.This is the reason why DiGi did not follow their move when the Unlimited Talk promo commenced.

Let me answer your question about the MMS thing even after your balance got expired.
Your friends still can send MMS to you after that correct?It will send u a sms telling you that u need to log in to Maxis MMS site with a given password.Actually again this is caveat emptor lor or non halal money earnings because even though u can't receive it, the sender still pays for the MMS he sent ma.Money without effort...

Note that usage SMS usage notification is only available on P75 rateplan. Due to calculation complexity, this feature is not offered on Value plans nor Family Plus plans.  

Take note that all Value Plans will not have SMS usage notification. You will not be able to know how much of credit you've used until your calls are barred.Another way is to contact their call centre to find out your unbilled usage.

Maxis has the tendency to activate value added services for its customers automatically because with such services customers will automatically be incurred RM2 per month. This is a considerable amount of revenue for the company.

Just for your info, besides phonebook backup do also check whether your account has been activated with international roaming, message backup, caller ringtone, data access such as fax/data, GPRS/3G.You may not have such services when you first registered your account but their system will automatically add it for their long term customers without their knowledge.

Maxis chairman, two directors resign

KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Megat Zaharuddin Megat Mohd Nor has resigned as Maxis Communications Bhd chairman along with two other directors.

Megat Zaharuddin and independent directors Tan Sri Syed Anwar Jamalullail and Robert Boyle submitted their resignation letters earlier last week. Their decision to quit was accepted by the board at a meeting yesterday.

With their resignations, there are no more independent directors on the Maxis board.

At the same board meeting yesterday, three nominees from Saudi Telecom Co (STC) were appointed to the board.

In June, STC, Saudi Arabia's largest phone company said it was taking a 25% stake in Binariang GSM Sdn Bhd, the parent company of Maxis, in a deal worth RM11bil.

According to sources, the three had wanted to resign earlier but delayed their decision due to the exercise to restructure Maxis and take the company private.

It is learnt that Megat Zaharuddin had wanted to go earlier this year but the sudden retirement of Datuk Jamaludin Ibrahim made him defer his decision.

"Tan Sri Megat (Zaharuddin) decided to stay on for a while to allow the new management team to settle down and now that they have, he thought this was the most opportune time to relinquish his post," a source said.

If you do not know who is Robert Boyle, he's one of the chief auditors at Maxis. A chief auditor resigning just after a year?This must be scary.

You should know where the location of "D' House" is.That's Maxis' rival big lil stronghold.

Full bar doesn't always mean good.
A fine example would be your wireless router.Even if you have a laptop situated right next to it receiving at full rate/all bars up, yet the router is only connected to a 56k connection you'll still be suffering with snail speeds with internet connection.So getting full bar is not always a good indication that you'll get good reception.You get what I mean?It just mean a good connection is established between the BTS and your phone.

DiGi was smarter to choose a HQ which was out of the city to avoid the jams and high operation costs.

Added on February 14, 2008, 11:18 pmYes it's true.I'm sure you've heard the past news that Malaysia's most successful CEO Datuk Jamalludin, and most senior management staffs(foreign staffs like Richard Boyle and Rolf Marthinusen) are leaving one by one since last year. To add, the CEO of ASTRO Robert Odendaal will be resigning mysteriously this April for whoever knows what reason.They claim that they're retiring and pursuing better opportunities elsewhere but that's only part of the story.

Ask any Maxis long time staffs and they'll tell you good stories about the company.
Even our dear admin at Lowyat, Mr Vijandren was part of Maxis before.Anyone tried asking him before why he had left and form his own startup as vice president?

Not only RPK, many other prominent opposition members such as Jeff Ooi have also started to abandon the corrupted Maxsux.

Ana-con-da has his sly reason why he took his company private because of the uncertainty which loom ahead of him.
