It does not matter in the wet. You have a harder time handling a light car as it aquaplanes easier. A heavier car stops easier and don't aquaplane as much. Also you are much more confident in cornering. It's not even physics. It's just pure logic from everyday driving.
Fernando. The laptimes he set during the fuel buring phase was consistent and fast if you watch the live timing on F1's official site. and so was massa. Kimi and Lewis? meh, they were fast on lap and slow the other. And I do feel that if Massa was not impeded by Nick, he could have gotten past Kimi
