Saturday weather update - poor conditions delay practice

Welcome to qualifying day for the 15th round of the 2007 FIA Formula One World Championship, the Japanese Grand Prix at Fuji International Speedway.

Mist and rain greeted the paddock on Saturday morning, delaying the start of practice by 30 minutes as the medical helicopter was unable to fly due to limited visibility. The predicted ambient temperature high is 23 degrees Celsius. It will be a couple of degrees cooler on race day, when there is a possibility of light rain at times.

The race will run over 67 laps of the 4.563 kilometre (2.835 mile) track, or 305.721 kilometres (189.975 miles). It starts at 1330 hours local time, 0430 hours GMT.[formula1.com]
