I think the most disappointing part about the camera is no night mode. That puts it at a severe disadvantage even vs Android phones below RM1k.

Ya, I read somewhere the SE 2020 will not have night mode. Trying to find back the article, hahaha...

What is your usage pattern like? I had the IPhone XR and I can do 4 hours SOT on a 24-hour period with 50% battery remaining on most days. I'd imagine the 11 would be better or at least equal? I've not tested the 11 yet but I had the 11 Pro Max - that one the battery just won't die in a day.

The Pixel 4a hasn't been launched yet. That article is hypothetical at best.

Ya, no worries bro. It's a pity no night mode though, since the phone uses the same A13 chip, but I guess they need to be careful about cannibalising their iPhone 11 sales

Important question given the current economic climate

But I agree that Night Mode is an important omission from this phone, otherwise it'd be quite a deal for those who haven't upgraded from their 5S or 6 (and there are many such people in the States)

I'm sure everyone's sales, not just Apple, is down due to the pandemic.

Only online at the moment, but selected Harvey Norman outlets are opened at certain hours for purchases.

Actually the target audience for the iPhone SE (2020) are customers still holding on to their iPhones 5S and 6 or even the original SE and didn't want to upgrade due to the sizes and prices of the newer iPhones. These could be people who just want a functional iPhone and don't care too much about the bells and whistles. So for them, a USD400 iPhone with guaranteed updates for the next 4 years makes perfect sense. Smart move by Apple!

Yeah, a bit sorry for those trying to sell their iPhone 8 now - the second hand value just plummeted further

iOS is very efficient on battery consumption during idle or standby, but if you are a heavy user then the bigger the battery capacity the better. The iPhone 8 gets you about 4 hours screen time over a day of usage, so I think that would be a good benchmark.
