The folks at Android Authority seem to think Apple has nailed it with this SE
https://www.androidauthority.com/iphone-se-...ndroid-1107508/ "Let me just quickly list out the things about the iPhone SE that make it an appealing budget phone: - A price tag that is totally reasonable - A close-to-flagship processor (even if it’s from the previous year) - Wireless charging - A good (doesn’t need to be great) camera - Software updates that are fast, consistent, and will come for years If Android OEMs want to know what a budget phone needs to be a recommended buy, that’s the list right there. There’s nothing on the Android market that has all that in the US" |

QUOTE(WiLeKiyO @ Apr 18 2020, 02:25 PM) I'm waiting for the camera review on this phone. I think the most disappointing part about the camera is no night mode. That puts it at a severe disadvantage even vs Android phones below RM1k.I would like to see if there is an Android phone <RM2000 able to compete. |

QUOTE(Captain89 @ Apr 18 2020, 04:49 PM) Nope but I owned 2 IP11 each with 3110 mAh What is your usage pattern like? I had the IPhone XR and I can do 4 hours SOT on a 24-hour period with 50% battery remaining on most days. I'd imagine the 11 would be better or at least equal? I've not tested the 11 yet but I had the 11 Pro Max - that one the battery just won't die in a day.SE only 1821 that's like half of 11 I can finish my 11 battery by evening so you can compare with SE |

QUOTE(bobotorix @ Apr 19 2020, 08:05 AM) apple se 2020 vs google pixel 4a The Pixel 4a hasn't been launched yet. That article is hypothetical at best.Comparison opinion might be biased. but give it a read. maybe got people thinking jumping over to another platform, this could help you to decide dont search for battery consumption, its not there, |

"What can we give customers for 400 bucks" vs "How do we con people to pay 2000 bucks for a phone"
Important question given the current economic climate But I agree that Night Mode is an important omission from this phone, otherwise it'd be quite a deal for those who haven't upgraded from their 5S or 6 (and there are many such people in the States) This post has been edited by attw: Apr 21 2020, 08:07 PM |

QUOTE(Ongboonhua @ Apr 25 2020, 12:34 AM) I'm sure everyone's sales, not just Apple, is down due to the pandemic.QUOTE(Ongboonhua @ Apr 25 2020, 12:38 AM) Only online at the moment, but selected Harvey Norman outlets are opened at certain hours for purchases.QUOTE(Punish @ Apr 25 2020, 06:14 AM) After waching few camera review...and few more youtuber view on the SE2020...i conclude the SE2020 actually is just an iphone8 "S"....its not bad thing, just maybe i was hopping too much...when you think about it, its just an upgraded iphone 8 and they price it accordingly...mind you its still arguebly the best package at it price range but again its still just an upgraded iphone8....so if you want the cheapest iphone then go ahead as usual get the iphone8....S.... Actually the target audience for the iPhone SE (2020) are customers still holding on to their iPhones 5S and 6 or even the original SE and didn't want to upgrade due to the sizes and prices of the newer iPhones. These could be people who just want a functional iPhone and don't care too much about the bells and whistles. So for them, a USD400 iPhone with guaranteed updates for the next 4 years makes perfect sense. Smart move by Apple! |

QUOTE(aBcD-| @ Apr 26 2020, 01:54 PM) Hi, I’m planning to buy an iPhone, tired of android I think. iOS is very efficient on battery consumption during idle or standby, but if you are a heavy user then the bigger the battery capacity the better. The iPhone 8 gets you about 4 hours screen time over a day of usage, so I think that would be a good benchmark.Does iPhone SE 2 battery life can last long for a day? Based on the battery capacity that is less than 2000 mah. For my iPad Air 2, it could last for 2 days for using video streaming over WiFi. Which is the main reason, I’m switch over iOS, apparently iOS doesn’t consume battery power as much as android. |
