yup,its basically depends on luck and Q6600 VID.mine isnt that good.need 1.4875 for 3.5 ghz.

the temp now is around 44C idle and load around 60-65C

well,i doubt that my motherboard sensore reading are accurate.I got 26/27C idle for proc which is too low i guess.

nope,with real temp or core temp its around 37/38C.10 celcius more than in bios

Well, many people got the same problem with 65nm processor, thats y i didnt use the mobo probe, may be bios problem, u can check at asus forum

how does your xigmatek performance compare to zalman hsf anyway?Yes,like youve mentioned before so i guess im gonna stick with core temp for this time being

guys, i just changed my Mobo from ABit ip35 pro to XFX 780i and found that my Q6600 Vcore requirements !

Abit ip35 Pro = 1.40Vcore for 3.6Ghz !!!
XFX 780i = 1.32Vcore for 3.6Ghz !!!

mine is 1.265,1.25 is pretty nice.Used to have 2 Q6600 with 1.325(not the best) and those overclocks worst.The lapped one is B3 and when i bought em i straight away lapped the proc.So didnt know the temp before.

well yeah,the difference is either minor or major.But ive seen at least 2-3 C minimally after lapped.Are you gonna lap yours?smile.gif

so far been using 3.of course right now i just own one.Well as for right now,the one with VID 1.2625 manage to get around 3.7 at 1.45 vcore. was wondering,what is the safest vcore to run 24/7?smile.gif
