QUOTE(tkh_1001 @ Aug 19 2008, 07:30 PM) not sure... me using non-lapped s1283 and it can hit 6x degree c on priming at 3.5ghz in an aircond room yeah but i assume yours is G0 stepping while mine is B3.Or did i lapped my proc or hsf wrongly?(but both on flat surface)

QUOTE(tkh_1001 @ Aug 19 2008, 09:15 PM) cant really know actually... cos even if u do same clock with me but the temp might differ for the same proc... just keep it under 60c lor.... u didnt compare with the temp b4 lap? well thats my mistake, ive bought a used B3 Q6600 and straight away lapped em.Well,i thought it could at least drop few Celcius like some people reported.

okay im running on prime.never test it with orthos or IBT.Basically prime pass around 9 hours or more. Added on October 4, 2008, 6:55 pmQUOTE(tycheah_7 @ Oct 1 2008, 01:25 PM) as B3 is an older stepping, it should run hotter than the new ones well it is,although ive lapped it to mirror finish and running 3ghz at 1.34,its still hot.Maybe air ventilation in my casing are not that good. QUOTE(k!nex @ Oct 5 2008, 05:18 AM) ur chip is sure hot. for mine..is G0 stepping VID 1.275. i do 3.2Ghz 1.264V at idle, 1.21V at load. at ambient 24C like dat, my idle 32C, load 54C(prime95). btw, u lapped it to mirror finish got big difference in temperature drop?? u shud try IBT, 9 hrs of prime cannot show its full stability. u can pass 50 rounds of IBT den it's around 98%++ stable. take note of ur temps,u'll be shocked whats your exact vcore in bios?Do you sure your mobo doesnt have any vdroop at all?By the way,i didnt dare to run IBT.but so far so good for 3 ghz.I might be getting myself another Q6600 which is G0.hopefully it does have lower VID.Planning to archieve at least 3.4/3.6 ghz.:)How far you have push your proc?and what is the vcore? Added on October 5, 2008, 1:59 pmQUOTE(Dickong @ Oct 5 2008, 07:25 AM) You are lucky bro, to get low temp whem load. My same vid with your but i have to set to 1.325v to get 3.2g n my temp reach 60c when load.By the way i am curious how did you set your voltage to 1.264 when the bios setting of your mobo mininum is 1.275v. just wondering bro, what is your Q6600 batch? QUOTE(aLWAYStHEsAME @ Oct 8 2008, 01:49 PM) Ic, but that is not bad either, so ur processor is G0? How the temperature? the temp now is around 44C idle and load around 60-65C Added on October 8, 2008, 4:53 pmQUOTE(tech_frix @ Oct 8 2008, 02:31 PM) i never tust d real temp or core temp... my i45 got d display for temp... and speedfan oso showed same speed as my mobo... i'm using ACF7PRO+TX-2.... and my proc vcore a lil low for 3.15ghz... 1.192 if not mistake... later will post...but mine is not Q6600... more to xeon... well,i doubt that my motherboard sensore reading are accurate.I got 26/27C idle for proc which is too low i guess. QUOTE(aLWAYStHEsAME @ Oct 9 2008, 09:53 AM) Well, many people got the same problem with 65nm processor, thats y i didnt use the mobo probe, may be bios problem, u can check at asus forum how does your xigmatek performance compare to zalman hsf anyway?Yes,like youve mentioned before so i guess im gonna stick with core temp for this time being
