If let say we buy metal build gundam (RM2K+), then we throw away the box, if customs check, then will they ask what are you doing with this toy?

It wouldn't make sense to say that we brought this gundam from Malaysia to Tokyo just to play with it right lol
*
They don't care. Janji no box. No box = old item.
If you buy Metal version, the white form or black form based also need to throw away. So you bring back to Malaysia chances to get scratches very high.

Thanks

Between JetStar and Peach Aviation, which is better?

I notice the fare for JetStar is slightly cheaper compared to Peach Aviation.  hmm.gif
*
This depends you got flyer milage member or not? One World or Star Alliance biggrin.gif
If both also don't have then choose the cheapest / suit your time.

Peach part of ANA means under Star Alliance. Jetstar part of JAL means under One World.

Question on travelling to Kyushu for 2.5 weeks -- considering options for Shinkansen ticket purchase:
1. Touchdown at morning in Tokyo
2. Hop on Shinkansen towards Fukuoka/Hakata station
A) standalone ticket Tokyo - Hakata?
B) standalone ticket Tokyo - Osaka then use 7d Sanyo Sanin pass to Fukuoka?
C) other combinations JR pass of standalone ticket from Tokyo to X?
3. Flight back via  Fukuoka - Tokyo - Malaysia

A) option is pricey so I'm hoping for alternatives via the regional passes... Will be carrying big luggage so will need to reserve special seats + will try to secure the side for nice Fujisan view, which means we'll have to probably stand by and buy it on the dot when the sales period is available.

Haven't really figured out where to go but I'm very interested in Beppu onsen and quick glanced through existing posts with keyword "Kyushu", sounds like Nagasaki is a good choice(?) Open for ideas to + what ticket passes to get, thanks all.
*
Depends what Months bro. Mt.Fuji always shy and likes to hide it self.
3 Option to see Mt Fuji on way to Fukuoka......Shinkansen but only got 5 sec of view then it gone forever. biggrin.gif
Which is this Spot https://maps.app.goo.gl/y1z27Pj3dKh7Bkbn8
5 Sec only...you paid RM1000 just for this 5 sec of Mt Fuji View...

On Air means any flight ticket from Tokyo to Fukuoka, Seat on right side, On Air, when fly over Shizuoka / Yamagata Region....you got about 10 minute Mt Fuji view from Sky.

Express Bus is slowest + your big luggage need ronda ronda in Tokyo City. Hope on Bus at Shinkuju Express Bus Station......Hectic......But you got almost 2 Hours of Mt Fuji View...Bus will Stop 30 minute on Rest Zone at Shizuoka. You can view the Mt from Highway.

Raining Season of Aug - Sept .....Entire Winter Season....Bus are your got highest chances see the Mt Fuji. tongue.gif

My bad, I should clarify: flight tickets already bought, and Fujisan view is meant to be a bonus but what we really want is the Shinkansen experience itself. We plan to board only one way since it's more expensive than the flight, so what I'm exploring now are the options and prices, hoping for a cheaper deal.

We're going late Nov - early Dec to catch the autumn leaves in Kyushu, hopefully... Will the elusive Fujisan show up for us? biggrin.gif

Will be good. But 5 Second only. Remember the Google Spot. When Train cross the bridge, This is your only chances. 5 Second

We're planning to drive in Japan (just my bf, I'm photographer/🥔 tongue.gif ). I understand international license will be required but the technicalities aside, I'd like to ask more general "on the ground" questions:

- parking availability/cost: how is it like in small towns (see list below)?
- laws and unspoken rules: anything that might not be obvious to Malaysian?
- safety: I suppose no winter tyres required for late autumn, right?

Places we might drive in:
-  Beppu town
- Hiroshima (maybe less likely)
- still studying around Kyushu, recommendations for/against welcome.

I'm weighing our options against getting a JR regional pass (+ maybe more other daily passes), especially gonna use that for longer distance like Hiroshima-Fukuoka, so I hope that we can use public transport wherever convenient enough.
*
Japan not allow turn left when red light. Malaysia do allow. When reach non traffic light Junction or any Zebra Cross Road. You must stop 3 sec no matter got car or human or not. If Zebra cross road got traffic light version just follow the light, for those non light version, compulsory stop 3 sec. This kind of Cross Road always got Police fishing!!!

Beppu recommended self driving if you want to take those Great Steam Town photo shot. Hiroshima no need driving because Tram & Train already covered 90% of city.
Kyushu, I need more detail because alot Kyushu major cities are fully covered by Tram & Train & Buses.

I'm planning to drive there aswell especially on rural areas. But I'm still confused with yellow solid middle line. Understand it meant by can't overtake car over the line, but is it allowed to turn right? As their rural road is pretty long and hard to find a way to u turn. I tried to search around but mostly the answer were mix.
*
You can't switch Lane on Yellow Line. You must switch before Yellow Line. Once you entering Yellow Line Lane, It will be specifi Lane for Turn Left / Right or go Strait.

Newbie question - how much is the fare from Tokyo Station to Narita for the airport limo bus?
*
From Tokyo City heading Narita Airport Never Ever take Limosine Bus. Don't be "Water Fish".
Taking Bus to Narita always take Kasei Group Bus - "The Access Narita". Only 1500 Yen Per way
Limousine Bus Cost 3100 Yen!!

thanks for the insight! but i am still cuntfused! so meaning if i example wanna stay around shibuya  then don't take bus?  sorry but i am really noob.
*
2 Way to Narita if you stay at Shibuya nearby.

Bus...which already show you by Fellow SkyCaptain.
Another way was Train.
JR Limited Express "NEX" direct from Shibuya Station to Narita T1,T2
1st Train of the day was 6am and cost 3250 Yen which is similar to Limousine "Water Fish" Bus to Narita.
7am you will reach Narita Airport T1. Train most comfortable and fastest.

if direct, just take ANA or MAS. JAL timing wise not very nice + I seldom see got sales.

ANA always got sales from time to time. The bonus with ANA is their promo also comes with free domestic flight transfers. Good to plan for travel to other regions. So far I have done

KUL-->NRT/Haneda (stay a few days)-->fly to Hakodate-->slowly travel upwards to Sapporo-->Chitose Airport-->NRT-->KUL

KUL-->Haneda (overnight)-->Hiroshima-->Travel to Okayama, Himeji, Kobe, Arima Onsen-->Osaka Itami Airport-->NRT-->KUL

KUL-->Haneda (overnight)-->Wakkanai-->Drive through Northern and Central Hokkaido back to Sapporo-->Chitose Airport-->NRT-->KUL
*
Not Bad. Hope more to come, one day can reach as much as my Signature. biggrin.gif

Juneyao Airlines are Premium Airlines. Batik & Scoot cannot compare. Different category.
Juneyao targeting group are MAS/ SIA etc etc not LCC Group, Juneyao seat leg room are SIA Standard.

@RegentCid, in my opinion Rokurinsha Tokyo Station dropped standard jor. Quite disappointed.
*
Flavour depends. Rokurinsha still very popular. But my Personel fav for tsukemen are Ramen Kamo to Negi & Aidaya.
Aidaya must order Tsukemen + Wagyu rice set

Thank you, bro. I should be in Ueno by Friday. Initially thought of eating at Sharin Ueno but since Rokurinsha at Tokyo Station was a bit disappointing (compared to my many visits over the years to their various branches in Tokyo - Osaki, Solamachi, Haneda and Ueno - the last visit was in 2018) and Sharin is actually Rokurinsha Ueno (and I have tried Sharin at least once before) I would try Ramen Kamo To Negi or Aidaya this time.
*
Both also at Ueno. Both shop also nearby (100M) Hamtam Both biggrin.gif
But Kamo to Negi is using duck broth as Tsukemen dip sauce. As usual, duck meat / broth will more “Fishy smell / Odor Smell" One of reason alot people don't like Duck meat. If you like duck meat, then is heaven.

Shinjuku:
Inose Ramen. Their Signature dish - 特上味玉海老ワンタン昆布水つけ麺. This shop no English menu.

Any comment on going to Hokkaido middle of May?

Just booked ANA for
KUL - NRT - CTS (layover 2 hr 25 min)
CTS - HND - KUL (layover 1 hr 20 min Terminal 2 to 0)

Is the checked baggage automatically transferred? Is 1 hr 20 mins suffiicient for transfer from Terminal 2 to 0 at Haneda?
*
There are no Terminal 0 in Haneda. "0" means still unknow yet. Too far ahead...Airlines still no yet arrange in system.
It can be Haneda International Terminal 3...It also can be ANA Terminal 2...Now ANA terminal 2 also got International flight.
If Haneda Terminal 2(Domestic) to International Terminal in 1 hour 20 minute...yes enough. Take Monorail or free transit bus
