I have portable kettle that is rated at 240v. Can I bring to Japan and will it still works even at 100v (it will only boil slower) but wont break my home appliances?

I love the laidback vibe of Kanazawa but when I had to move down to Kanto, I chose Yokohama city as the best compromise
kanto basically very busy and "cold", can feel lonely here eventhough there's so much ppl everywhere

IMO, the best jap curry rice originated from Kanazawa, personal fav is champion curry

Should also try champion curry if u got chance
my wife prefers champion curry compared to go go curry, I think both also nice

Anyone has any guide on Tokyo's metro (approx fare per ride)? Not sure if the RM46 3 days unlimited subway will be useful.

was buying some bus ticket, and noticed that the highway bus tickets in japan is quite pricey

nagoya to shirakawago - 3800 yen (2.5 hours)
shirakawago to takayama - 2600 yen (1 hour)
takayama to kanazawa - 4000 yen (2 hours)

Hi, for those bought tickets under ANA and going to CTS from KUL, do you guys have a layover in HND? If so, for an overnight layover (10pm -> 6am nxt day), am I allowed/required to clear immigration? Also, any suggestions on where can I sleep/hangout till my next flight out?

Hi, in early planning of my next Japan trip in January. This time wanna do Tokyo-Mt Fuji-Tohoku Region. Pax 3 Adult 1 kid

I need some advice or recommendations as we wanna visit Mt Fuji as well as Tohoku areas.

1. is it recommended to drive from Tokyo to Sendai/Aomori? I checked that the Tohoku Expressway Pass do not cover Tokyo.
2. Was thinking of taking bus from Tokyo to Sendai, but never take long distance bus in Japan before. Is this recommended for 3Adult1kid + Luggages?
I was thinking of driving as i enjoy driving in Japan and the flexibility it gives to me and my family, kindly advise or give your opinions

Day 1-3  : Tokyo (2night)
Day 4-5  : Drive to Mt Fuji and stay nearby (1night)
Day 5-6  : Tokyo (1night)
Day 6-8 : Drive to Miyagi (2night)
Day 8-10 : Drive to Aomori (2night)
Day 10-11 : Drive to Sendai (1night)
Day 11-12 : Drive to Tokyo

Thanks for your input. Wow, need to be silent all the time? Even though my kid is well behaved, to expect him to sit still and quiet for 6hrs is asking too much.

Might skip Fuji since no point going if can't see Fuji-san, however any recommended place to stay nearby Mt Fuji?

BTW, for driving from Tokyo to Miyagi. I was planning to get Tohoku Expressway Pass 7Days, but the Pass only cover Fukushima Prefecture onwards. Hence, for the journey of Tokyo to border of Fukushima will be paying via ETC, do i need to exit toll and re-enter since the Tohoku Expressway Pass start from Iwaki Nakoso IC??

Lastly, will it be snowing for Tohoku region during mid Jan?
