QUOTE(mini orchard @ Jul 9 2021, 06:21 AM) For (b), got difference ke if they say accrued interest will not be capitalized ? When you make your payment it will be used to offset the accrued interest, so it means that you are paying less towards your original amount. At the end of the day, it will be as if the accrued interest is added into your principal amount.

Some banks are more direct approach and some uses indirect ways.

so conclusion, there will be interest for all loans for this 6 months and no compound interest for this 6 months. BUT the compound interest will start on 7th month.
CIMB slightly different with others, housing loan wont extend your tenure but will increase the installment amount starting from 7th month...

If we apply Moratorium and keep the repayment as usual, the repayment will be counted as future payment right ? therefore payment made will be fully paid to principal correct ?

The figure should not be too far off from the statement amount due to the date the statement is generated.

Borrowers in a quandary over higher monthly instalments for loans.... .....higher monthly instalment from the seventh month. Going by a calculation available on the website of a bank, a RM300,000 loan with a remaining 20-year tenure and a 3.5 per cent interest rate per annum would see borrowers paying an additional RM62 to the monthly instalment of RM1,740 from the seventh month. The accrued interest would set them back by RM5,250. https://www.msn.com/en-my/news/national/bor...Y?ocid=msedgntp

Hi All,
I received the email from PBB about the HP, from the message below, is it i need to pay extra RM3,676.75 interest if I choose for this 6 months deferment?
Accordingly, a total sum of RM514.10 being the interest will be charged (accrued) on the deferred instalments (principal portion only) totalling RM3,676.75 from July 2021 up to September 2024 (39 months) at the prevailing Annual Percentage Rate (APR) of 5.96% as per the HP Agreement / Supplemental Agreement (whichever is applicable) on the basis that the six (6) deferred instalments will be paid during the extended tenure.
