QUOTE(Anime4000 @ Sep 17 2023, 06:09 PM) To way I went to 2Gbps user within Seremban, I can do many test while I am there Assuming if I purchased the LTF7267-BH+ XGSPON, would it be theoretically possible to change it to GPON mode to fit with Unifi? And will XGMII be a more common standard than HiSGMII and hence work in more SFP+ ports/cards? Thinking of pulling the plug since getting HiSGMII with my equipment is kinda a pain in the ass First, I test VSOL V2802RH ![]() It did not work, the VLAN from OLT never get bridged... If you refer to this post, 2 Gbps User A and B has different Port Provisioning... 2 Gbps User A is Huawei 2 Gbps User B is Nokia/Alcatel-Lucent, Fiberhome, ZTE only work with OLT provision 2 Gbps User A style The 2 Gbps User B style is most common due to Maxis, Celcom, DiGi, other ISP riding TM Fiber... blame them? Second, I tested TP-Link Deco that has SFP ![]() TP-Link Deco SFP doesnt understand it, cannot get PPPoE even in 1G mode, thus TP-Link Deco doesent understand (X/Q/Hi/SG)MII Standard, only works Base-T tldr; TP-Link Deco SFP cannot use GPON ONU SFP MII Standard (Common use on non Ethernet Frame such as xDSL ATM Frame which same GPON use) 1Gbps: SGMII 2.5Gbps: HiSGMII (2x SG Lane) 5Gbps: QSGMII (4x SG Lane) 10Gbps: XGMII (XAUI) Base-T Standard (Twisted Pair) 1000MBase-T (1G) 2.5GBase-T (2.5G) 5GBase-T (5G) 10GBase-T (10G) Base-X Standard (Fiber Ethernet Frame) 1000Base-X (1G) 2500Base-X (2.5G) ... the SFP communication can be anything, not all that is why Mikrotik to support MII is by disable Auto Negotiate Ubiquiti, Aruba and Others should do that! |

QUOTE(Anime4000 @ Sep 17 2023, 08:47 PM) that won't work either, most SFP/SFP+ do Base-T and Base-X, the XGMII Japanese yuki tested on modified Broadcom NIC Okay so let’s say if I were to go for the Hisense EPON and not XGSPON, I can also still use the same method of modifying Broadcom/any SFP nic NVRAM to make it work with GMII protocol and it should work with XGMII on the Hisense LTF7263-BH+ (10G EPON Multimode) theoretically?also XGS/XG PON are not backwards compatible with E/G PON since laser operate at different wavelength Really don’t want to use the converter since that defeats the purpose of removing the ONU in the first place |

QUOTE(Anime4000 @ Sep 18 2023, 10:49 PM) I dont think that compatible with Unifi let alone TIME, better watch out the wavelength Snopped around on some Chinese forums regarding LTF7263-BH+ if you can spend money on 10G PON SFP and try, let us know. I can't experiment and destroy 10G PON SFP, that very costly and don't have OLT to test. What I heard from TM guy, this is TM experimenting 50G PON, TM skipping 10G because 50G and 10G using same wavelength speed will be 50/25, keeping ONU cost down = cheaper price I can test GPON during PKP 2020-2022, that rise many OMCI Alarm, such good time no one can go out, TM loosen a bit about OLT issue... If read back old post, one time I cannot use GPON Stick with default OMCI, TM just updated OLT to block rouge/illegal ONU. TM do monitor all suspicious ONU that did not meet TM requirement, since no more PKP, just be careful when applying. There are more just flash set command Read more on ITU G.984.4 : Gigabit-capable passive optical networks (G-PON) : ONT management and control interface specification TM OLT love using OMCI 0x10, Action (VID investigation), Discarding the OMCI 0x10 are responsible for TM-Maxis/Celcom/DiGi on LAN 2 also need be careful with many firmware, not all can override OMCI to LAN Port we want... https://www.chiphell.com/forum.php?mod=view...353807&mobile=2 Looks like the interface is quite bare, even more bare than ODI stick. Only can configure LOID, LOID PASSWORD, PLOAM PASSWORD via WebGUI. Not sure how robust their SSH interfaces are to change anything, but it's also a realtek chipset(CA8271S) from what YuukiJapanTech can gather on his/her github, so the flash command should still be able to be utilized assuming if realtek didn't change anything from the RTL960x family. I'll get one next month to play around with next month probably, but the chances of it working with TM is quite steep, unlike China Telecom which looks like they only check for PLOAM, MAC and LOID? Also the wavelength for LTF7263-BH+ is 1270nm/1577nm, does TM use the same wavelength as this or is it compatible despite it not being the exact same? |

QUOTE(Anime4000 @ Sep 20 2023, 05:17 PM) No, that physical laser and diode has been tuned/set at specific wavelength Checked with XE-99S vendor, looks like it doesn't support TM's GPON Wavelength, 2.5G ODI stick is probably the best that we can achieve with TM's not using anything other than GPON one time I bought XGPON and GPON compatible and cannot use GPON TM, so that is another wavelength that outside standard GPON, I have been told with other PON Hacking Enthusiast, it's quite rare for such PON at client side to support multiple wavelength. ONT would be expensive, our ISP doesn't like it (if can cheap ONT, Maximized Profit) Mostly at OLT for 50G, 25G, 10G PON to Co-exist with GPON with Multiplexer or without for ISP to support backward compatible and upgrade on the fly like TIME did if ONT has support 10G + GPON, they bet that not cheap and the SFP will be much longer to accommodate very hot laser also hot SoC |

QUOTE(Anime4000 @ Oct 3 2023, 10:41 PM) several of my customer manage to get VoIP working, also manage to make PABX to work too Curious for VoIP setup on Unifi, we just need an IP phone with the credentials in, and connect to any available LAN port or a bridged VoIP LAN port? Only thing keeping me from getting rid of the D-Link ONR is just sometimes my parents call in thru the landline if they can’t reach my siblings on phone, removing it would probably cause inconvenience from time to timesetup is simple, Phone Number Username with @ims.tm.com.my Password of 6 digit No need to modify User-Agent like Maxis works most any VoIP/SIP Desktop Phone you can get VoIP password on D-Link ONR via F12, type="password" to type="text" |

Saw this a bit ago on Taobao, from the looks of it, it's a customized Huawei ONU with a custom soldered on 10G port, if my guess is correct, the stick should be able to be used on this since there's a SFP+ port but ONU within ONU is
Checked with the seller and apparently any stick will work within this, GPON/EPON/XPON/XGSPON etc.. Considering pulling the plug to get full 10G to counter the overhead |

QUOTE(go626201 @ Oct 5 2023, 10:47 PM) QUOTE(Anime4000 @ Oct 5 2023, 11:02 PM) I agree, even TIME 10G PON not all place available, That’s the main thing I’m looking at, telephone jack tbh, rn the only thing keeping me from going full SFP GPON. I need to test on bridging VoIP with IP phone to see if it’ll work before moving fully off. yenchenje why not take RB5009 PoE instead, or go advanced CCR2004, plus Docker Support can install AdGuard or even KMS Server that router have telephone jack which is nice to have, my last experience buying China router, WebGUI is in Chinese Malaysia have slow adoption rate, I think... from upgrade from GPON to 10G, why not 50G PON which is more economy since more customer can fit (avg: ~100Mbps per customer) with Unifi price reduction, I think it's far away for TM upgrade to 10G PON If it doesn’t work, then either stick with stick ONU or go with this Huawei unit. But if it works, then I can safely move over to GPON SFP ONU |

Anyone wants to be the white mouse?
https://www.mi.com/xiaomi-routers/10000 Looks like the SFP+ supports HiSGMII standard, and the whole thing only costs about RM1150 This post has been edited by yenchenje: Nov 1 2023, 07:34 PM |

QUOTE(cyberic @ Nov 2 2023, 09:14 AM) Impressive hardware, not sure about the software side. China using 5.2 and 5.8GHz, can use in Malaysia? Should be fine, I don’t see this mentioning that but QUOTE(Anime4000 @ Nov 2 2023, 12:11 PM) it would be good if have English UI, From a quick Google, apparently the web UI is in Chinese but the phone app can be in English. Not the best but hey, for the price you pay, it’s damn impressive imho my past experience with TP-LINK XDR, tired holding phone running Google Lense 🤣 previous experience with TP-LINK XDR, most client devices can connect Can even run simple docker on it |

QUOTE(cyberic @ Nov 2 2023, 02:58 PM) Is in the spec page. I saw 4x4 notice no 6GHz. Someone mentioned before that 6GHz not available in China. Ya 6GHz not certified in China. Would’ve been nice to get it in this router but AX is good enough I guess You’ll probably have even better AP equipment if you’re spending on a router this grade |

QUOTE(Anime4000 @ Nov 2 2023, 10:49 PM) I managed to sync at 2.5G, but upload speed is so low like Intel-Lantiq PON Stick Interesting, so D-Link ONR might be a Hisense rebrand then even set Traffic Management id 0 ![]() ... Here WebGUI of PON Stick ![]() Now D-Link ONR WebGUI ![]() see how the layout very similar ... in mean time, we trying to ask TM to allow my PON Stick on the OLT, this mean TM OLT authenticated without needing to clone OMCI, just SN and PLOAM Password Also do we still need to spoof right now to use PON Stick on OLT? Cuz I want to buy a stick now cuz one of my ONR died and if it dies again it means I won't have internet till technician comes |
