I remember reading something on gametrailers.com's forum about some people putting the PS3 through some rigorous situation, and let it on continuously for 100+ hours or something =Xthey manage to play ps3 inside a 37'C heat sauna. imagine doing this with xbox 360 http://ps3.qj.net/Online-site-finds-out-yo...pg/49/aid/99840 |

Now I have a new question. More like a 'What if..?' question. So keep that in mind.
Once the PS3 warranty runs out, what do I do if my PS3 is damaged? Can I still send to Sony (HK or S'pore) for repairs just that I need to pay for the repair service? If this is a stupid question, sorry. I can't help but ask questions EDIT: Forget this. Found the answer while browsing the playstation.com site. It would be nice to have a PS3 Asia/M'sia version and they have Malaysia as a selectable region when we register for a PSN account.

QUOTE(munak991 @ Nov 1 2007, 08:47 PM) Here you go. They are in .pdf format.Hong Kong Version: Warranty Terms & Conditions Note for HK's T&C: 5. This Warranty is only valid and applicable to official Products which are affixed with the "Official Product" label and are licensed for sale and purchase in Hong Kong only. Parallel imports are excluded from this Warranty. There is no repair service for all parallel imported products. 6. Though no repair service is provided if the Product has been modified as written in section4 above, HKMC may at its discretion provide repair service to the Product that has been circumvented if the customer signs the Confirmation Letter given by HKMC upon taking the Product in. Singapore Version: Warranty Terms & Conditions Note for SG's T&C: 6. Without limiting the generality of anything to the contrary in these terms and conditions, Sony Singapore may (but is not obliged to) in its sole and absolute discretion provide repair service for the Product under this Warranty, where the Product has been modified by any person other than an authorized employee or agent of Sony Singapore, subject to such conditions as Sony Singapore may impose in its sole and absolute discretion. 9. The Terms and Conditions for Warranty Service are only valid and applicable to official Products which are affixed with the "Singapore Official Product" label and are licensed for sale and purchase in the Republic of Singapore only. Parallel imports (including all US- and European-region products) are excluded from this Warranty. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My guess is, if our console does not have the "Official Product" label or we did not get our PS3 from shops which have worked out a deal with the official supplier we can't do much if our PS3 is screwed. Look at term number 6 on both T&C. They did not rule out the possibility that they MIGHT fixed modified PS3 BUT it has to be under warranty. I am not sure but my gut has a feeling that MAYBE if we call up Sony Singapore and convince them enough MAYBE they would repair our PS3. Even though our PS3 does not have the "Official Product" label from official supplier or dealer and not under their official warranty. But that is just my speculation. As long as my PS3 is still up and running, I won't know. So don't quote me on this This post has been edited by Muchi: Nov 2 2007, 01:17 AM |

QUOTE(munak991 @ Nov 2 2007, 05:20 AM) OOoo Hey thx. Yea. If you still have the shops warranty then it will be okay. how to know the shop keeper get the product from genuine seller? and we can give back the shop keeper if our warranty still available right? Well if you get it from Bernard, Keane or Djinn everything should be fine. But I am not sure what happens after the 1 year warranty they provide. But I guess 3 of them might try to assist you if your PS3 break for some reason, after their 1 year warranty period. But don't quote me on that. The reason I say they might is because of how helpful they are to their customers as well as the positives reviews from their current customers. So they are trusted |
