ya true. at 120hz seems ps5 not running to the games full potential and had to cut down alot of the graphic details. i also think there is no point to run it at 120hz

*
If games are running at native 4K 60 locked enough dy. 120HZ games only a handful. Like COD actually runs at 1080p @ 120Hz.

Just now went to a retail store, most likely X90J is going launch next week..... the shopowner said they would receiving stock next week onward, but due to Raya holiday, may delay to the week after next only receive the stock.

Their price bout 6399 for 65".......the shop owner keep suggesting me consider LG BX..... hahah

Still thinking whether to go for X90J or X9000h.... there is different about RM 700  blink.gif  blink.gif
*
X90J or CX. Not BX. Or wait for C1. That's assuming budget not an issue.

I game with ps5 with x90h. Would still recommend OLED over mid range LCD.

Pic quality comes first, not size. Get the best out of 4K 60 Hz first then talk about 120hz later.

for J model so fast reduce to 1K  discount. either double triple confirm because shop lady boss may confuse J and H and the price differernce is so big. usually new model no discount 1k.

but if it is true. a J model at the 6.3k price. take it. dont think. you wont go wrong also.
*
tongue.gif maybe its 65" X80J.

https://www.sony.com.my/electronics/televisions/x80j-series

X80J 55" 4299
X80J 65" ?

if sony try to sell x80j 65 inch at 6K above then they are totally out of their mind biggrin.gif
*
Yes. Even 55 at 4.3 I already think it's expensive. Same IPS panel again.

i felt that they label the price wrong, 65" X80J should be 4299
*
Nah, 55" RRP Rm4299 is correct. Sony.os is Sony Sunway if I am not mistaken. They have promo RM300 off. Still RM4K.

The increase / decrease in color volume , color gamut and contrast numbers are still well in line with Unit Variance .
Because the specific unit Rtings got is roughly 200 nits brighter , it is only natural the contrast and color volume will also be improved since the 2 aspects are closedly tied to peak brightness .

Panel Lottery also plays an important role .

It is difficult to deem which is an upgrade or downgrade because there have been people who measured lower / higher than these numbers so far .
Regardless , 200 nits on LCD is hardly an improvement when the rival brands can reach 3000 nits .

At this point , X90J is basically a clone of X90H , with a bumped up SOC to justify to price increase . The result ? You will get better upscaling and noise reduction from watching older , lower quality TV shows.

*
Thanks for your explaination.

I see. So basically you are saying the numbers are still well within the expected range and not showing any drastic improvements as of yet. Yeah 200 nits more is really not a lot.

I recalled in another thread you mentioned X90J is the one with co-processor unlike the single X1 which handles all on X90H. Or is it still single SOC?

no no no no no, just give me the disocunt, i dont want the player.
who still play disc in the year 2021?
*
Me. Haha. Still looking for a reasonable price uhd player.

That player is RM1K plus bro.

Netflix UHD 4K HDR10 / dolby vision content so limited. I don't use other streaming apps so not sure about the content for others.

I think you should still be able to claim it from the cashback page

its odd that my shopee shows only the cashback with 5000k coins. The unlimited one (i used to have it) does not show up under the "select all vouchers" input.

Congrats on your new Sony. I am sure you can’t wait to immerse in it with Dolby Atmos sound bar or home theatre.
*
what soundbar would you recommend?

I have just gotten myself the Samsung Q600A today at 1.6 plus. Not sure if it is a good choice for atmos.

How is the performance of Q600A? Does it support Atmos also?

I am getting a B&O Beosound Stage, still awaiting for it to arrive.

I read from T3 that the best Dolby Atmos sound bar will be the Samsung Q950T. Someone recommended this to me as well.
*
I have yet to receive. I bought online. Delivery will be tomorrow. Yes it supports Atmos but i believe it should be simulated fake atmos.

Man, those BO are some good high society stuff. tongue.gif

At least 8 stacks of moolah i believe?

It is if compared to the rest, none comes close as RRP is 4299. However, I read and watched some reviews last night, it is still lacking... and X80H maybe a better choice if compared to X80J. Well, I could be wrong.
*
What is lacking between X80H and X80J?

The new XR in X80J also? I believe it's still X1.

no, no option for that.

email sony directly after you register your unit to https://web.sony-asia.com/my/.

They will email you back for payment details for your particular model for extended warranty.

That's what I did to my X90H.

Samsung q600a. 🤣

I was testing it out last night for my small living room. Not too bad. But if you have budget then go for q900a of course.

bro what so special about this q600a? price about 1800 right?
how is it compare with sony and yamaha?

sorry yeah newbie here i only know sony.....

3.1.2 (2 upfiring) with optional rear pair wifi surround speakers at RM699 to complete it as 5.1.2.

Cheapest entry level Dolby Atmos, DTS X and syncs really well via ARC with my X90H.

You can get the HT-X8500 for Rm1.2 or so. But there is no dedicated subwoofer for it. You can consider G700 (3.1) or HT Z9F.

But if your living room is big, i strongly advise you to not get entry level sound bars.

updated the 2nd new VRR update for my X90H. Just found out today there is a horizontal banding when I press the volume button.

There is no problem in watching with any contents. Home menu also no banding. I wonder if this is a firmware bug or panel problem? Anyone has this issue after the update?

I don't have this problem after updating to the latest firmware. Maybe try to do a factory reset, see if it fixes that.
*
Factory reset few times, and hard reset via power button as well. Still the same.

Contacted sony support and they will come to my place to diagnose next week.
