I think I may go for X90H and get 0% 6 months or 12 months installment plan.  blush.gif Then, it doesn't hurt my wallet that much. laugh.gif
The thing is the price is not competitive, only two shops selling online for RM 3899 and unfortunately that's the cheapest so far.
*
I got my 55 x90h for RM3699 + free delivery and normal installation at TBM bangsar back in march.

Running it for PS5 and so far so good.

Sounds like a good deal. thumbup.gif It shows it is RM 3849 now and OOS. sweat.gif https://shop.tbm.com.my/products/sony-kd-55...13eba47b5&_ss=r
*
When I made the purchase the price online was RM3849 as well. Online and retail store prices are different.

I actually showed them a Lazada list (YSL) to ask them to price match to RM3599 and they would not allow. They said RM3699 the best price which I think its fair for walk in + free delivery. LOL.

YSL also no stock... sad.gif OK la, I still have some time, no point buying now and no place to keep. laugh.gif
I will wait till my house is done with renovation and about to move in only buy one. I have bought TV bracket already, will the people help me to install? I guess I will need to pay for it.
*
RM3699 only table installation. Bracket installation definitely extra cost.

This price only comes with standard 2 years warranty. If you want to get 2+3 from TBM its RM599.

If you get from Sony after the purchase its:

Thank you for your email to Sony Malaysia.

Based on the product information that you have provided in the previous email, please be Informed that the (SEW) price range for your product is within RM4,001 – RM5,000 hence you may refer to the below breakdown for extended warranty package price.

For 2 + 1 Years = RM370.00
For 2 + 2 Years = RM510.00
For 2 + 3 Years = RM660.00

If you plan to add the extended warranty can try check at sony store.
Previously can get 55" X90H for 3999 with 2+3 years warranty.
Btw this was last year dont know now still available or not
*
I was quoted this price for the standard 2 years warranty from sony the curve. Perhaps there wasn't any massive special offer back in March.

X80AJ is the more affordable variant of X80J .

It doesn't has any motion compensation system . Not that the X80J has much either since they are both based on 60hz , which means good luck dealing with 5:5 pull down on broadcast TV shows and movies .
*
Is X80AJ still IPS like X80H?

55" X90J price in USA is USD1499 and 55" X90H was USD999.

Really curious to see how much is the X90J in MY.

Lets hope it follows China pricing where it's only 1000 Yuan or about RM630 more expensive than X90H
*
That's nice if it is just RM630 more.

In US, there is a 50" X90J for USD1299 (~RM5.3k). Still more expensive than the previous 55" X90H MY RM4299 rrp.

So they are not gonna drop the price of older X90H but increase the price of X90J instead? sad.gif
*
Not too sure. Sifu Convael would have more info. Merchants are clearing stocks anyways. 55" X90H is a bit hard to find already.

Almost doesn't exist anymore, 55" X90H. I cannot buy now as I don't have place to keep and waste my warranty period. I hope two months later, I can find them again. Otherwise, I will go for X80H then...
*
X80H is IPS (better viewing angles but poor HDR, no local dimming).

X90H is VA (very bad viewing angles but better contrast/HDR).

Yes I also worry that Sony might not restock this model anymore then I'll end up stuck between overbudget X90J or more inferior X85J/X80J. But I still can't find any 65" selling for RM5.5K, the cheapest I could find on Lazada and Shopee is 5.7k excluding shipping

Use shopee app, top up shopee pay can get 10% 58,990 cashback in "coins". Coins capped at a limit for each transaction for future purchases. For TV of this price, I would not encourage buying online unless you are fine with it.

I experience this today. With Netflix. After restart seems back to normal. I notice android tv needs restart quite regularly else will have issue like slow internet speed or apps don't want to start properly or now some weird horizontal lines.
*
I wonder if this is due to an unstable voltage. Is this TV plug in to the wall or surge protector? Most of the people either restart or unplug and turn off the tv. It seems to solve the problem.

Nothing change since I begin to use the tv until now. Hopefully this is fix after restart. I can live with it if it's not persistently an issue.
*
Yeah from what I read seems like its a common thing. Even smartphones need to restart sometimes.

I am using Bose Lifestyle system currently but the one I have doesn’t support 4K so I will have to use optical audio for now, apparently some TVs only do 2.0 on optical out, idk.
*
https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/re...6/50148701M.pdf

page 7, optical out supports dolby audio and DTS. If the source coming is 5.1 then it should be 5.1.

Now don't you dare telling my wife.....

Btw I opted for 2+3 years extended warranty with full motion wall-mount + installation.
*
😂 nice.....that’s quite fair for 2+3 if rm11k. I saw a display unit at best denki last night. Can’t recall if it was rm9999 or slightly more.

rting review of x90j is out. The local dimming zones (24 zones) is even lesser than x90h (32 zones). Don't know what sony is thinking. While others is upping their zones count with mini led, sony zones goes down. It's like they wan to force ppl to switch to oled since the prices keeps narrowing down with each new model.
*
Surprisingly the X90J native contrast and local dimming contrast seems to improve the black level.

from rtings,
Native Contrast
X90H 4267 : 1
X90J 5600 : 1

Contrast with local dimming
X90H 4786 : 1
X90J 6221 : 1

That's a 30% increase in LD contrast ratio.
