QUOTE(minimize @ Jan 1 2021, 09:21 PM) Not sure promoter told based on his knowledge or its just assumption. Oh god , you are still thinking there is any chance the " TV Promoter " is right ?If he true, than sony is so stupid that make TV that can broken because of vibration of acoustic surfaces features QUOTE(minimize @ Dec 31 2020, 10:49 PM) He said LG is better. Not sure is true or not. But logically vibration can make panel damage or broken. Seriously , LG has been demonstrating the same prototype "Crystal sound screen " during CES for years . Try to google but didn't find any complain regarding broken screen on sony TV In fact they are probably planning to incorporate it into their E series sometimes soon . Also Sony doesn't make the OLED panels . LG display does , if the ones Sony is using is problematic , LG too will be looking at the same problem . I have a A9F which I have been using for almost 2 years , there is absolutely no problem with it . Plus this is a problem for the richie since Acoustic Surface audio is only available on the premium OLED TV , those people are likely have a much better sound system . So yea , that particular statement is probably one of the stupidest argument I have read in this forum for a long while . Considering we have no shortage of fools sprouting non-sense in these corners , that is saying A LOT . P/S : Also @ the " LOGIC " , OLED TV doesn't has a conventional backlight system . The actuators attached behind the screen generate sound wave at a microscopic level , there shouldn't be any problem with it since the frame holding the OLED pixels are metals , unlike some of the cheaper LCD TVs. Went to SenHeng today asking for offer on 75" X9000H. Their price is RM9,799 but other than the +1 year extra warranty there is no more 10% rebate. They even show me the pricing system with no rebate starting on 1/1/21. Can anyone else confirm the same?

Do you experience any burn in issue? |

QUOTE(minimize @ Dec 31 2020, 06:54 PM) Harvey Norman TV promoter told me that sony acoustic surfaces audio will make screen damage in a few years because of vibration. Is it true? Just get an Atmos Soundbar and turn off the TV sound GuyM liked this post

QUOTE(minimize @ Jan 3 2021, 01:11 PM) Sound great as you are already a sony oled user. I'm interested in A8H actually because price is reasonable (below 8K). Not on mine and I have thousands of hours of usage on it . Do you experience any burn in issue? The Burn In problems are mostly going to happen to 2 types of people . The first type is people with very specific watching habits , such as those who are only ever going to play 1 game on the TV or only watching old school channel like Astro . Modern streaming channels such as Netflix , Amazon have long removed these channel logos . The second type are those who are using the TV incorrectly . The OLED TVs are considered screen luxury , they are not for kids or housewives who like to leave their screen on for 3 hours AFT[Away from TV] calling their BFF. We also have those who pre-maturedly unplug the TV like they do with conventional LCD TVs , effectively preventing all anti-burn in cycles happening . In this case , they have only got themselves to blame for not understanding the tech before buying . There is also the 3rd type which I have excluded from above since they are mostly Fanbois and jelly Trolls , hardly people . We have fanbois from Samsung , where they will take every chance to bash on OLED . Or Jealous trolls who never own an OLED TV , thus have no idea how it works or function and the only weakness they are aware of is the Burn-Ins which have existed since the Plasma era .
