hmm to cut short all this, time to go shop for earlier revisions of the E21*0 and sell what u have now. By the way, as long you can do 333*9 or 8 should not be a problem then.. but to OC up to 100% or 3.2Ghz hmm i really would wish it could happen
@tech yeah its wicked that drop, hopefully in a few days the TX-2 will set in and thus make the temps go down more |

Since the new Wolfdales are in town, older C2D's tend to be a bit cheaper and some of them overclocks well. Perhaps you can try surf around in "Garage Sales"

Can you guys list down your cooler/processor/vcore/clock/idletemp/loadtemp? It would be a nice comparison.
Mine: Asus Triton 70 fitted with 1 9cm fan & 1 8cm fan with Tuniq TX-2 E2160 M0 1.425v in BIOS selection, 1.396v~1.41v in BIOS reading 400x8 3.2ghz 34~37'C 60~65'C (Orthos blend test with priority 9) This post has been edited by Silverfire: Mar 9 2008, 03:24 AM |

QUOTE(a1098113 @ Mar 8 2008, 11:19 PM) yeah it looks like we need to address the issue.. sorry for the long wait.. guys. Funnyface.. u r pumping too much voltage for such low speeds. YOu will end up burning your proc.. and calm down dude. If stock cooler definitely...I am using Zalman CNPS9700,keep it cool full load at 59C Vcore 1.58V. Biggie, try just using 8* Looks like clock speed is the main factor here. We are all learning guys. QUOTE @funnyface Try like mine 335*9 =3015Ghz at lower Vcore bro...u should be able to run...at least with mem devider... i have no problem running 335*9, max is 337x9=3040.Once over that, not stable for any extra voltage. thx for the alert @a1098113 now running 380x8 |

well guys try setting your voltages to 1.465V and try to push it up to 3.2GHz, that should be point where it matters, after that, we might have to deal with Vmch
