No regret! The discounted price is worth every penny I spent.

Nord is not bad, but OnePlus pulled out the wrong strategic move. Everything is late and confusing, giving the opportunity to other competitors. It's their mistake. That's business 101.

Those 3rd party one can be deleted.

But those Mi one can't.
*
True. But only a few. Some of them still can be uninstall. For example, mi remote. I already deleted it since I don't use the ir blaster at all. Also, as long as you don't touch those mi apps, basically they won't do anything in the background. Heck. You can even install new theme from their theme store without log in mi account. I remember last time you can't do that without mi account. Miui 12 is much improved now compared last few generations.

Of course, it still lose out to one UI and oxygen os. But it's not that bad as other people said.

yours is green?? how is green look like?
somehow i watch jewtube, those people holding green is kinda....wash out green or something...

*
It's more like light blue plus a little bit of green. That's why it looks like wash out green in the video. Because its not green entirely. Actually in China, Xiaomi call the color as ice sea blue (冰海藍, if you know chinese. Not sure why it was changed to coral green after it was released globally. But it's ok lah. At the end, still need to put a casing on it mah. Lol.

No la. Mi10 got only 3 colors.

钛银黑 (titanium silver black) = coral grey
冰海藍 (ice sea blue) = coral green
蜜桃金 (peachy gold) This color is not available in global market

That's down to individual preference. Personally I don't really feel a thing when I bought Samsung phone and it has tonnes of Samsung related apps or if my Vivo phones has a lot of Vivo related apps. That's what you bought.

Yes, there's some apps that you'll rather not see like Taobao, JD, and few others. Well, guess what. I too wouldn't want to see Google Photo,  Assistant, Home, Play Music, Play News and so on. You may say that's all too blame on Samsung for taking money from Google to preload these Google related apps.
*
Absolutely correct! Bloatware or not, it's all depend on how you define it. If you find it useful, its good app. If not, you call it bloatware.

Even OnePlus own house oxygen os aka the cleanest OS on earth, also have their own kind of "bloatware". To name a few, Oneplus Community and Zen mode. I don't plan to join the community, so the community app is useless for me. As for the Zen mode. Why the hell I need an app to remind me when to take a break from the phone without disturb? If I want to, I could just shut down the phone and walk away. As simple as that.

Can't remember which version of it. The Zen mode in my OP7 pro kept popping out messages telling me how should I utilize it. It pop out almost every day. I found it quite annoying. Cannot uninstall or disable. At the end, I had no choice but to disable its notification. LOL.

Not to mention the upcoming Oxygen OS 11 will be including facebook aka the king of bloatware soon, which was making a lot of huha in the reddit community recently.

Don't get me wrong. I am not bashing any OS in here. I am using 3 OS (One Ui, Oxygen, Miui) at the same time, so no point for me to bash. biggrin.gif

I am just trying to speak out the obvious facts. Cheers! cool2.gif

But I heard it's limited stock right ? Because here is for everyone for this price but the offer ends today. I think also because of the taxes here is higher at 17%. Out of the 60 Euro from 456 Euro is for the tax.
*
Actually it's not limited stock. The stock was plenty in the first place. But the discounted price is too good, plus the other competitor is too weak, hence the super hot sales! Only took 2 days, all online and offline sales are almost out of stock. I bet Xiaomi Malaysia probably wouldn't expect this result.

Nice then because since I am also studying here and I can't go back in another year or two and my phone is already quite old and then I saw this offer, so I was thinking to myself, why not just grab it first. Even if I don't want, I could sell online or something. Because the store here sells for 799 Euro for the original price in an electrical store.
*
I see. Very good. Welcome aboard! So how is Xiaomi phone's popularity in Germany? Is this brand famous over there?

Sorry for MIA guys. My ringke casing was delayed. It was arrived on Friday and I only able to apply it at night. So basically I only started using it yesterday, LOL.

So far so good. Battery life is good. But the idle battery drain seems not stable. May be still need to give it a few days to optimise. The phone is quite heavy, it's heavier than my OP7 pro. LOL. And the sound! Damn it! I am still very impressed with the dual stereo speaker!

Wow... The legendary Axon7...

I liked my Samsung S9+ speakers, however, I found that Chinese smartphone tends to tune their speaker to sound more pleasant to everyone. Whenever I watched YouTube with commentary on my S9+ in my car or room, my wife always complain that it's noisy whereas when I'm using my Iqoo Neo3, she doesn't care. You tend to get clearer vocals with subdued music with Chinese smartphone stereo speaker.
*
Yes. I can confirm that. I compare my Mi 10 with S20+, side by side. Mi 10's sound indeed is louder and the bass is more power. However, S20+ is no slouch either. It got more surrounding effect due to the Dolby Atmos system (Mi 10 doesn't have one).

In the end, the winner is Mi 10. As you mentioned above, simply because it sounds more pleasant to listen. If you don't tell, other people might thought that sound is coming from a TV. No kidding at all! I must give a big round of applause to Xiaomi on this one! rclxms.gif

Folks, if dual sound speaker quality is your main concern in choosing smartphone, then don't miss Mi 10 series! You won't be regret!

8+128 is equivalent to mi 10 8+128? coz also same LPDDR5. but Poco win because use UFS3.1. also Mi10 release earlier than Poco le. Poco F2 is newer abt 5 months than Mi 10.
*
Bro. You misundertood. Please re-read my statement. I am not talking about which phone is better la. I am talking about which one is giving the largest discount. So far Mi10 gave RM800 discount while PocoF2 pro gives RM500 discount. So Mi10 > PocoF2 pro. No argument in here. Of course, there's possibility that Poco F2 Pro may give even bigger discount in future. So let's wait and see.

QUOTE(msacras @ Aug 24 2020, 01:48 PM)
Poco F2 is just 3 months old though...
*
Yes. So let's see if they will give much higher discount in the future. However, it's a never ending story la. Everyone know the phone value will be depreciated as time goes by. But by that time, a better phone will appear, people will rather wait for that new phone to drop price instead and the loop goes on. biggrin.gif

Why cant adjust bro? Am using flat screen but just curious on the reason so can be a pointer if in case next time considering getting new phone.
*
All users who hate curved screen are due to the following reasons:

1. More prone to be damaged compared to flat screen if fall down

2. Easy to accidental touch on the edge of the screen

3. Reflected light on the top and the bottom of the edge while watching video horizontally

4. Shifted color on the edge

5. Difficult to find suitable screen protector

6. Have to be extra careful when applying casing because some casings may damage the screen protector (on the curved edge)

7. Curved screen is simply for aesthetic look. There's no practical use.

Nope. F2 pro is flat screen.

Indeed. I especially love the curved screen on my S20+. It's a pleasure to touch with the full navigation gesture. Lol

covered??

Let put it this way. As long as you bought the phone in the promotional period, and the phone is confirmed granted by local warranty. Then no matter which platform you bought it, online or offline, all are secured with 2 years warranty and I year screen crack protection. Especially retail buying. They would state it on the description on the receipt.

how to check ur mi10 AMOLED display is  using samsung or huaxin panel

my result is 42/huaxin

[attachmentid=10565638]

Mine is also 42. However, I think the screen color is better than my S10 lite. LOL. I reckon it's better than most Samsung mid-range phones. Of course, still not up to the level of flagships like S & Note.

Anyway, eventhough it's not Samsung panel, no need to be sad about this. Soon or later, all China phones will be using their own mainland produced OLED panel, which is cheaper. So if you plan to buy China phone in future, you will need to get used to this. FYI, Mi 10 Ultra is using the same Huaxing panel as well.

I see bro. Do you want me to provide a simple english instruction for you? It's quite easy. However, it's a heavy load for the phone. The debug txt file took so long for the phone to encrypt and hanged for so long until the phone get heated and the battery drain like waterfall during the process. At the end, I gave up and just transfered the txt file into my computer for faster processing. IMO, not worth to do it unless you super care about the type of the display panel you get. LOL.

So what is the significant or difference in having a samsung or huaxin AMOLED display ?
*
Samsung display color is more unified compared to Huaxing display. However, it's not easy to discover unless you compare these 2 displays side by side. Personally, it doesn't affect my usage and I pretty much enjoy the Huaxing display.

Btw guys, it's Huaxing, not Huaxin. tongue.gif

someone from reddit recommended, i have been using a lot of browser from chrome to firefox to brave to kiwi to bromite most in the market, samsung is the best except:

1. no autofill support
2. no synced tabs like chrome, but using join app to share and open in windows is still bearable
3. no password sync

edge is whole lot better than chrome, but samsung internet allows changing text size on the go, long hold the home key to start typing, smooth
*
Yes. After trying all kind of browsers, Samsung internet is the best. It has most advanced ad blocker. It has the most complete dark mode experience. Samsung internet are installed in all my android phones, Samsung or not. It's my no. 1 choice.
