QUOTE(droidtrix @ Sep 8 2020, 01:18 PM) First, you need to aware that there's 2 different version of EU rom. Xiaomi.EU which is 3rd party custom rom, while Euro ROM which is Xiaomi official global rom for europe region. If you want to access dual sim, you may need to flash Xiaomi.EU. So if that's the case, the ota update is completely depend on the 3rd party developer. So I don't have answer for that. kenny79 liked this post

QUOTE(kitter @ Sep 10 2020, 11:46 PM) Hi Guys, What kind of Xiaomi service you activated? So far, the only Xiaomi service I activated is the Xiaomi account/cloud.A question to check with you guys. Have you ever gotten charge an SMS to overseas for activating Xiaomi Service? Last few days, I received my bill and I wonder why I got charged an overseas SMS to UK. After I verified with telco, they told me that it is a SMS to activate Xiaomi service. |

QUOTE(kitter @ Sep 11 2020, 08:43 AM) Not sure very, the very firs time I inserted my SIM card, it pop up a message asking whether to send SMS to activate. Then I just click yes, don't know that it is sending to UK. Just curious about the activation to be charged. QUOTE(msacras @ Sep 11 2020, 10:02 AM) I've gotten that with digi on my iphone once before, to the point I need to manually disable the pop up after restart every time after that (for 2+ years). Surprisingly recently I mis-clicked on the "yes" again but this time with Maxshit, and somehow the system accepted it and never pop out again, I also didn't notice getting charged in my bill like digi did last time. And yeah, my iphone's activation SMS is also billed to UK, and that cost RM3 or RM5... QUOTE(kitter @ Sep 11 2020, 10:22 AM) So both of your phones (xiaomi and iphone) did have the activation SMS issue. 2 different brand having the same phenomenon. There must be something common between you two to trigger the same problem. I wonder what it is. |

QUOTE(msacras @ Sep 12 2020, 06:49 PM) The activation is for Xiaomi’s own phone finder features, you can totally use the phone as per normal without activate the feature. What's the criteria to trigger that? Mine also Maxis and when I inserted the sim card into mi 10, nothing pop up. Straight away can use the phone to call and sms. |

QUOTE(KariAyam @ Sep 12 2020, 10:53 PM) Ah. The infamous pink line on amoled screen. It's a common problem for Samsung Amoled. For example, S7edge. https://9to5google.com/2017/01/24/galaxy-s7...k-line-display/ I guess your Mi 10 panel is Samsung panel. There's a few solutions on the internet. But they are only temporary. the pink line will come back anytime. You should go to SC to claim for warranty. This post has been edited by Max2006: Sep 12 2020, 10:59 PM |

QUOTE(kitter @ Sep 14 2020, 02:00 PM) Guys, Yes. Using global rom here. Only can search the number from the front digits. Last digits cannot. I can confirm that.A question to ask here. Now Xiaomi or Redmi global ROM all use Google contacts and dialer. I find out that I cannot do a number search in the dialer. For example, I save a contact named Adam number is 0123456789. When I try to search the last 4 digits of the phone number, I will not be able to get the contact, unless I search the number from very beginning such as 012345xxxx. However, sometimes I will only remember last 4 digits of the phone number, but I can't do the search like that method. Any of you has the same scenario? |

QUOTE(vanpersie91 @ Sep 15 2020, 02:51 PM) Not xiaomi's fault though. Not sure if it's been like that for a long time or just recently changed. Surprised that no one been complained to google about this. This is one small reason why I feel reluctant to use stock google apps. People always claimed they are clean so they are good. But their functionality always weaker compared to Samsung or xiaomi own apps. Been using Mi 10 for almost a month now, I still can't get used to the google dialer and message. Lol. Not to mention that Mi10t series is a downgrade compared to Mi10 series, except for that 144hz screen and larger battery. Of course less people will layan mi10t live la. Wow! Xiaomi is following Samsung's "you buy my phone, I give you free tv" tactic! Lol.
Anyway, somehow I think they may cancel the roadshow and make it online resemption. Based on current situation, even if there's no pkpd, I don't think those mall management will allow xiaomi to produce such mass gathering inside their malls. |

QUOTE(tsg_7 @ Oct 6 2020, 04:46 PM) A few parts here and there. But no need to search for answer la. Just look at the price you already know la. If mi10t series is an upgrade, no way the price would be so cheap compared to Mi10 series. |

QUOTE(joeblow @ Oct 6 2020, 09:25 PM) Apart from lcd vs amoled, seems to be this M10t Pro looks very cheap. Half price of x2 Pro and one plus 8 Pro. What gives? Flat screen, LCD screen, less powerful loud speaker, no underscreen fingerprint sensor. Those are the main things that make it cheaper compared to other flagships. And I am sure there are some more minor corner cuts inside, which most users won't care about. |

As I expected, no tv at roadshow.
https://www.lowyat.net/2020/223205/mi-10t-p...-no-free-mi-tv/ QUOTE Instead, 500 units of Mi TV 4S will be provided for customers that purchase the Mi 10T Pro through Xiaomi’s official Lazada store at 12:00 AM on 9 October 2020. Some of these TVs will also be provided for customers that opt to purchase the new phone via Lazada stores belonged to Vivid Concepts, DirectD, and Urban Republic. |
