Hi there my friend, you've said that you was charged (extra) during service termination. Mind elaborate further of the incident so that the forumers here can produce their own-solution towards your problem.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions and response.

Here's the summary, I subscribed to unifi broadband wireless service for my condo 2 years back. Lately, unifi wasn't able to upgrade bandwidth in my condo for past 3 months, so I decided to move to Time successfully. I initiated termination request to Unifi. I got delayed in returning the device, as I was travelling. Next month they sent me 1225 rm bill, siting 500 for modem and 500 for early termination. I complained, and they reversed 500 as I returned device. Then I kept complaining to reverse the other 500 too, since, I've already past 2 years 2 months in contract, so there shouldn't be any penalty. I think the helpdesk email understook and reversed the 500 and asked to pay monthly 225 bill, which I paid. But later next month, I got calls from some random guys, asking for pay 725RM to unifi otherwise summon.

I'm not sure if that's how difficult to terminate Unifi service and they start harassing people with sharing personal details with some third-party guys. I'd be very careful with signing contracts and taking broadband services. I've now filled complain to mcmc. Let's see how they responds.

I got a call from TM, saying that I've lodged the complain at mcmc and they don't see any pending balance payment. I told them, then why someone is calling me from random number and sms. They said, they'll settle and get back to me.

Yep, that's what they were doing, that's why I got annoyed, receiving unsolicited calls to my personal number by some random guys. That's why I complained now to mcmc.

MCMC Complaint - https://aduan.skmm.gov.my/
You still can see some wayang to have mcmc trying to disguise itself to be isolated from TM. Only like friend.
But after change to this belakang mari government, i think the relationship between mcmc and TM got so close like couple already.

I usually have voice recorder app monitoring every phone calls that calls in or calls out through my smart phone.
So whatever these TM guys/agents tried to wayang infront of me, i've proof what they said on the voice clip.
Since all telco or service providers like to put on the "self-improvement" program to tell customers that all conversation monitored.
So i expect that i can do the same thing back to them. If they tried fooling around with me through email and phone, i've evidence that they're trying to play around and not taking any responsibility.
Because back to the end, those "self improvement" plan is rather gimmick. If they did improve, their service won't be like that.
Unfortunately, those recording they did, is only for them to refer to on how to play around with their customer.
Even when visiting telco, i'll put on the voice recording and position it infront of the cs.
In malaysia, voice recording without permission is not considered illegal yet. Unless the government decides to enforce it.
But again, enforcing those voice recording will also put a strain in the market.
Because telco or service providers will no longer be able to wire tape your conversation legally. mega_shok.gif

Exactly my case with Umobile. Their CS made a mistake over the phone, I asked them to replay the recording.
1 week later, a rep call me and said that they admit their CS is at fault BUT , they turn around and bite me back saying that "This is their terms and condition" .

In the end I ported out. And they didn't feel remorseful or empathy when I even threatened to port out.

If one were to work for a customer service dept for Singaporean telco such as Singtel or Starhub, you know that recording becomes a serious evidence and can be used against the CS.
And Singaporeans can write up to the CEO. and it works for them.

ya.. that's why i suggest recording those voice clips and play it yourself.
Check the terms and condition and prepare well before you head down to their customer service center to give them a very heavy slap.
Because sometimes , they might favor a particular cs and pretends to play around with their words.
The recordings claimed to be self enhancing experience is nothing more but a big fat lie.
It gives them enough preparation to choose their choice of words. Because they have the recording and not u.
They can claim that it's their miscommunication but terms and condition is in place and they cannot reverse that.
But when u misinterpreted or misled your customers in signing for something that has a contract in place, the terms and condition does not count.
Customers are being misled and actually scammed into your packages. And that is against any legal law that can allow.
If misleading and scamming a customer into a package that the cs did not bother highlighting them the terms, they're offending the law.
Like i very much repeat again, the self improvement program is not to protect the customers and ensure service guranteed.
The so call self improvement program that monitors your conversation did not anytime guranteed that it's to protect the customer.
It's only very much serve as a purpose to be abuse by the company itself to prepare itself for any argument that will put them in a disadvantage position.
It'll give them time to prepare a script against customer.
So as a customer, you need to be well prepare to tackle these companies. Especially big ones.
Only when you're prepared , then u can walk in and give them your ultimatum .
And take note, they can even recall that conversation and play it in front of you .
But they're more adapted and train in the rules and regulation of the company. And they're well prepared for what to tell u and what to hide.
But for you, you just listen the conversation once and you can't formulate a proper planning instantly to tackle their question. laugh.gif

i also face the same problem with ts 3-4 years back received call from debt collector

i call tm 100 and tell my story

after 1-2 weeks already settle and they even refund to me

the problem happen when i relocated to new house but unifi not up yet

already go to tm point and they ask me to terminate but i put on hold but i still pay tm 3-4 month waiting for unifi in my housing

but contractor take 1 year after i relocate to finish their work

so after 5th month i go to tm to terminate but dont know what went wrong i still received the bill and i ignored it

so after 7 month debt collector call non stop even after i told them already terminated

i think tm treated me well after i reported them to mcmc during those streamyx era smile.gif
