just asking - any of you with this 90/ 120Hz refresh rate have compared to a flagship without same and then with an iPhone - say XS - notice any major difference?

I'm currently using OP7p and 90hz or above is my bare minimum in my next phone. That's big the difference to me in my usage.

I can't go back to 60hz.

I had the OP7 Pro 90hz refresh just after my iPhone XR, then sold off my OP7 Pro and moved back to an iPhone 6S and to be honest, I couldn't feel that much difference. Maybe I'm old and my eyesight isn't as good as before laugh.gif

Checked it out a few reviews in YouTube.. indeed super thin but it doesn't give protection to the screen though...

Yup so you have to becareful. For me i am going for the least bulky case as possible haha.
Don't really like bulky case. Spigen still ok. Planning to order another Spigen later on.

Any dbrand Grip case user here? Heard so much that it broke within months after use. Is it worth it getting one?

I used v1 before didn't like it. The buttons way too stiff for my liking. Googled reviews for the v2 also as was tempted to get it for s20 ultra but seems like buttons are still stiff. Think better off going with other case manufacturers spigen, ringke, uag

Been using 120hz with my rog phone 2 for the past week. Then I tried playing with my friends iPhone 11 Pro max and instantly could feel the screen is sluggish. Not in a way that it's lagging but it's just not as smooth as my rog phone 2 of course.

I suggest you to get Liquid Air or Rugged Armor. You can scratch the glass of your phone IF sand/dust particles get in between the case and your phone due to friction of both materials (hard plastic and glass).

Rumours say there'll be a software update coming that'll enable dynamic refresh rates. If this is true then maybe the battery power hit wouldn't be as bad

ah yes bro attw. you have tried them all. so no difference between 90Hz and a 2015 iPhone .. and yet rumour is new iPhone gonna get 120Hz

P.S. waiting for another of your excellent reviews this time S10 lite

interesting, a difference is spotted. The 11 Pro with it's powerful A13 does shortcake behind the 120Hz.. maybe that's why Apple joining the bandwagon too

anyway apologies for going off topic. will stick to S20 series comments

Yes, it's easy to spot the difference between the 60hz from the latest iPhone vs 120hz from the s20.

It's VERY obvious when you scroll down from notifications panel or just go to settings and scroll up and down the settings menu. Disable dark mode so it's easier for people who can't distinguish between the two.

This is just like a youtube video playing in 30fps vs 60fps. That's how obvious it is. I'm not sure about 60hz vs 90hz refresh rate because I've not tried a phone with a 90hz display.

In my opinion, we should not use the iPhone to compare with the 90Hz / 120Hz Android phones because they are using different OS.

Refresh rate has nothing to do with the OS.
An iPhone or any other "normal" phone has a refresh rate of 60hz.

A lag or stutter you experience on a phone is NOT part of the refresh rate. You might be confused that a phone is laggy because it has low refresh rate. These are 2 different things.
