Took the plunge and preordered the s20 ultra biggrin.gif
Not worried about 5g as not living in KL area. Highly douht the rollout of 5g of Malaysia will be fast to parts other than KL.
On the SD vs Exynos part oh well, for daily use won't make much difference and my note 9 with exynos performs well enough. Never tried SD on Samsung before so ignorance is bliss biggrin.gif

Anyone here ordered Dbrand skin for their s20? Or anywhere with cases available already? Wanna get one so can use with the phone when I pick it up.

Not that bad of a price honestly.

I've sold my s10+ and got a rog phone 2. It's super big and heavy, no idea if I'll get used to it or not. Been using it for less than a day.

I can totally imagine s20 ultra users complaining already about the weight and size of they jumped from the s10 series.

I'm on the Oneplus 7 Pro and its one of the first to adopt 90hz screen. The 90hz screen is indeed is smoother and slicker, more fluid but its not a deal breaker. If you would ask me if the 90hz refresh rate is necessary, I would tell you No. If the app you are using wasn't purpose built for the 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate, the phone detects it and lowers the refresh rate to the standard 60 hz. So.... I would say the 120hz refresh rate would be nice to have, but not really a good reason to buy the phone for.
*
I second this. The higher refresh rate screen also consumes more power smile.gif

QUOTE(ipohps3 @ Feb 17 2020, 05:36 PM)
Yeah. Through Shopee. Money refunded.
*
Oh wow. So the deal breaker was really the Exynos chip?

I was eyeing the ROG 2 for the 6000mAh battery, but in the end decided to play it safe and go more mainstream with the S10 Lite laugh.gif

They also offer it at cheaper price than the rest of the world.
“Techie” group of users (e.g lowyatian forumers) also do know how to source from alternative path if “die2” wanna buy Snapdragon Galaxy version.
So, the choice is on u.

For majority of average joes and janes (tarrget market), the offering is sufficient.

So, any joke here?

Anyway, if they do offer Snapdragon version at this price point, that will be nice as if delicious cream on top. Anddddf maybe attract some scalpers from around the globe to buy from here.

Yes big joke on my end. Pay for a phone for around RM4K already, might as well get the highest storage space and ram, but there is not even an option for higher storage for example doh.gif

Personally Snapdragon or not doesn't matter as much to me at least, Exynos still fine for me, but not offering higher storage and what not is hmm.gif

Wait for a month or 2 after launch and the larger capacity models will follow suit. It has always been the norm. Why? I think lower capacity ones should be less popular.

Whats the issue with the 128GB version if you can add on a micro sd card that is U3 Class 10 UHS-I A2? Speed should be sufficient right?

Any 45w chargers that would work well with the S20 Ultra other than the official Samsung one? Quite expensive RM 180 for the charger.. =(

microSD is always way slower than internal storage, not to mention now Samsung use UFS 3.0 which is itself much faster than the UFS 2.1 in the S10 last year.

45 W won't come cheap as you need 5 A thick cable to safely work.

I pre ordered for the s20 ultra dbrand skin and a MNML case.
By the way Mobile2Go SS2 had ready stock for spigen case. But i think only got 2 or 3 design.
For me i pre ordered from them and change the wireless to case and SP.

Apps (which takes up most of your storage besides pictures and videos could only be stored in internal storage, not SD card. Whatsapp pics and data could only be stored in internal storage as well.. Files are getting bigger so yeah, we need bigger storage. 128gb would be minimum requirement. 256gb would be just nice. Many are expecting a a larger capacity as they are already.paying top dollar for a flagship phone.

I think the issue also is more to do with the Note 10 series coming with 256GB storage as the base, so not only did Samsung up the prices for the S20 series but they also offered lower base storage.

I think imported sets mostly can only get from online platforms, though I'm not sure if the big guns like DirectD or Mobile2Go may eventually have it.
