Been with unifi from their bonanza promo, and since it’s ending and the plan I have is not with perpetual discount, I will be paying more for it, lowering the plan from 300 to 100 will extend another 24 months which is not what I intend for, hence considering a change.

Comparing on maxis fibre 100mbps, is it good in Sentul/Kepong area?
If intend for switch, is it possible to sign up for maxis and done install, before terminate unifi, or must terminate unifi first on the same premise?

Any advice? Thanks

very much okay, in fact feel better as the latency performance seems better with Maxis...speed wise, I don really heavily need 300Mbps, so I falls back to 100Mbps for Maxis.
and with Maxis Postpaid together, mine become prime plan which gets unlimited data also...
So I just stick to cheapest MaxisOne98...
Service support wise, I had not gotten much chance to experience with any issue *touchwood yet, so no comment...

Guys... I m an Unifi user now. Plan to migrate to Maxis fibre.. but was informed no port available for switching. I m wondering why cant Maxis use my existing Unifi port. Anyone has encountered such a problem? Is this port full is a valid reason and any ways to overcome this? Pls advice guys. Thanks.

Do you go through the correct process? To switch from Unifi to Maxis, first you go and register your Maxis Fibre. Bring along your Unifi bill so it's easier for them to trace your address.
After register, bring the transfer ID, go to TMPoint and inform them you want to switch ISP. TM will process the switching in 10 working days and release the line to Maxis. It's just like MNP.
Gone are the days you can install Maxis first then terminate Unifi.

If you cannot walk in to both TM and Maxis center, maybe there's some agent which can help you settle everything.

Thanks for the inputs. I have enquired with Maxis. They said will use the existing port. Waiting for their technical team to provide me the TR code.
Will bring the code to TM point once I have it.

Usually if register at center the TR code is instant. Anyway keep us updated.

I received the TR code from Maxis yesterday. Did submit to TM on the same day itself and later got a call from Maxis stating the received the request and will call again in few days to set installation appointment. My existing 500mbps can get full speed using 5ghz. Hope I can get the same speed.

Hopefully in future ISP will accept TR without us have to go to the center. It's just like MNP process after all.

I m getting the same speed with Maxis fibre as well. I reused my Tenda AC1900 coz Maxis router wasnt giving me full home coverage.
So no complains. Now waiting for my 65" TV. Most probably by 2nd week of Nov.

In terms of stability, definitely UniFi is much better, been using my Maxis Fibre for around 1 year, facing a lot of issue which including packet loss, ping spike and slow speed during peak hour. The technical team came to my place replaced a new router for me but the problem still persist. I believe the bandwidth of Maxis Fibre around my area is congested, therefore the issue arise only during peak hour. Luckily Maxis Support is surprisingly quite good for my case and their customer service is available 24 hours, currently trying to make a follow up complain to Maxis, hopefully they will fix my issue. Beside this, Maxis One Prime is pretty much worth the money thou, this is the reason I'm still staying with them.
