Still 2019 version, android 9..but they already have android 10 patch 2020 version. This case 1 of fb mmabers group they provide newupdate after his box face some issues,.. That version fully lock usb debugging 😂.

Adui. I am done with Skyworth la. I feel Nvidia TV Shield Pro is best buy eventhough it's expensive. At least they provide system update and Google security patch. Even Mi box S provides both but their hardware is older compared to UPB.

New to this thread. Read through all posts from page 1. Wanted to learn if there's a way to install stock Android ROM on the UPB. So far, nobody knows how to do it. But also found out that the UPB is not Netflix certified, unlike what TM initially claim in their marketing campaign.

Anyway...

About the video quality. I think each channel on the PlayTV app would look bad for the first 5 seconds. Then it gets better and better after 30 seconds. Is it ideal? No. You can't really argue that they are not delivering on the PQ since it will get better in 30 seconds.

About the subtitles. It's always been lackluster. Compared with the white box, the UPB's subtitle quality is worse. If the white box's subtitle quality is -1, UPB's is minus 3. It should be something easy to fix.

About buying other Android boxes. Yeah, don't need to upgrade your Unifi account or renew it, unless you want faster speeds. Tivo 4K Android box or something similar is what you can get. It is Netflix certified and for just streaming purposes, it's more than enough.

If you want to stream content from your NAS with lossless audio quality, then you need NVidea Shield, not the Pro. The Pro is for gaming and streaming.

It is too bad that TM didn't think about sustainability when they decided on the Skyworth as the UPB. The white box was already not Netflix certified and the YouTube app and other apps was disabled within a year of launch.

Guys my UPB is stuck on unifi logo. I tried to unplug and plug back and still stuck on the logo. My UPB is only 8+month old. Any idea about this? I called the customer service and the stupid customer agent insist to reset the port 😡😡😡 what has the UPB issue has to do with reset the port. I told her that port has nothing to do with UPB but still she insists to do it. I think they are just sitting there and not doing the job well. After she reset the port the issue is still there 🙃. Anyone here got this kind of experience?

I have Amazon Prime Video subscription and installed it on my NVidia Shield TV. I am sharing the account with my 2 brothers, 1 with MI Stick and the other 1 using the Unifi Plux Box. I am sharing by using the code generated in each device and they have to tell me the code so that I can paste it in my browser to enable sharing. All works fine. And we know Amazon Prime Video allows upto 3 devices simultaneously.

The weird thing is, when I check connected devices in my Amazon Prime account, there is only 2 devices, my NVidia Shield, and my other brother's Mi Stick. Nothing abt the Unifi Plus box.

Something wrong, or I am just lucky to be able to use 4 devices? Yes, I tried connect with my other NVidia Shield, and after that I can see 2 NVidia Shield and 1 Mi Stick. My brother's Unifi Plus box still not listed and didn't disconnect at all.

Can you go into its setting by pressing Home button? If can maybe try reset

The box is not responding. It stuck forever at unifi logo. Not responding to the remote. Tried with different adapter but unfortunately not working too. Guess the box has died. Using it very seldom only since I have astro. The box is only 8 1/2 months. I am damn sure its not affected by the lighting since my power extension is Surge protector. I have already lodge the report. For those who are planning to take UPB as add on for RM20/monthly, please think twice. Mecool KM2 too manufactured by Skyworth so I think there might be quality issue over there.

Hi. Is there away to subscribe to unifi without the 'free' Unifi Plus box? Or, is there a way to watch WWE network on the unifi box?

that was a question my dude. i need WWE channel so that i can safely cancel astro. the bills isn't going to be pretty if i subscribe to 800mbps unifi.

if not mistaken njoi can subscribe prepaid channel for wwe

Update:The technician came over and changed the UPB. He told me that this is common issue among UPB users 😑. I am done with cheap boxes

Give up my idea on upgrade plan to get faster speed+UPB after checked on this thread, in summary it's rubbish UPB.

I guess the only reason I will vote in next election is because of the unifi broadband plans now, would prefer someone from PH/DAP can be the minister of multimedia since it's the only time we may get cheap but fast broadband plans..
