Getting Started

Go for good quality PPF since you have the money. It can reduce the possibility of stone chips especially front bonnet and bumper, which coating and wax will not protect against stone chip.

QUOTE(abubin @ Jan 23 2020, 03:53 PM) plastidip is too expensive here to be worth using for body paint. Plus it is hard to get the spray to be evenly done. For wheels or emblems, it's fine. well that's the most flexible and easy to fix paint. You're right good for dechrome and other plastic surfaces.

I will avoid "coating" for now, will rely on waxing monthly/bi-monthly/quarterly and polishing when required (when it doesn't glow anymore) perhaps once a year Coating takes too much money upfront and I still have to give it way too much care, more than I can be bothered with PPF is an option, especially the frontal parts. But I may forgo it completely, like someone said, it seems like a condom for your condom. The money saved can be used to respray the car 4 years down the road, or I will just buy a new car.
