When they teach you at driving school and when you test for driving licence, before changing lane, turn your fucking head to check blindspot.

I wasn't taught to check blind spots in the 90's. What they emphasized was to give signal using arm when riding and driving (nevermind that air conditioner was a common feature in cars even during that time).

Or u don't check at all while cutting lane.
I wan cut lane this morning suddenly got a mottor appear out of nowhere.
ANd I bang into one few months ago.
He almost lost his leg.
Thank god I ddint get sued.

I am considering a car with blind spot monitor.
I watch youtube like we are suppose to do a shoulder check.
which means u rotate ur head over ur shoulder to check if any sneaky car there.
But I almost broke my neck when I do that.

Dear /k, pls advise.  sad.gif

My car blind spot monitor sometimes miss motorbike, there's a radar device on the edge or rear bumper.
Sometimes the motor comes at certain angle can't detect them.

Check all 3 mirrors. Use signal lights. Check all 3 mirrors again. Only then go into lane.

Open signal

1) see rear mirror if got incoming car or motorcycle.
2) see side mirror.
3) glance a bit at back passenger side.

Baru masuk.

But the most tricky part are those stupid motorcyclist that follow the same speed as me. And they just stay hidden at the blind spot. This 1 very cb type.

I try to check the coast is clear first before signalling. No point confusing other road users by signalling if there's a car right beside or near me or coming in fast - unless my intention is to allow them time to consider backing off and let me pass during heavy traffic.

Fully agree with motorcyclist part. I guess those who do this don't drive, hence they're not aware of the danger.

Turn head to check blindspot then car infront emergency brake gg

Lol quite true, but it's just to glance for any obstacle, not to see whether the other driver is good looking or not. I guess it's a risk we need to take.
