by turning your head la and watch the spot directly la.
also this is one of the reason why dark tint is not good because it can affect your visibility significantly.

There are some motorcyclist that love to do this. U cant see them in your side mirrors, but when u turn, they will suddenly appear. ranting.gif

anyways, do signal first if u wan to change lane ... after checking in clear, slowly steer into the lane
sometimes ppl will horn u if they dont let you in .. or worse .. heck they will just bang ur car say is ur fault .. seen many of those incidents already

To cover blindspor areas , move ur body towards steering and look into side mirror this gives u more coverage.

Secondly , when cutting lane don’t cut in too fast , slowly cut in so ppl hv time to react.

Betul, cuma kena setting side mirror properly sebenarnya. Macam gambar ini.
Read somewhere the best way to adjust it is, to seat comfortably in the driver's seat.
Then adjust the side view mirrors till you can slightly see the door handles.
This way the mirror can cover a wider angle.

practice to check your mirrors every 5 seconds. this way u can predict a car/moto moving into your blindspot.

then if dont want turn neck buy small blindspot mirrors. practice to see it as the mirror is small.

then go jewtube and learn how to adjust your side mirrors. ayam always see some cars, which their driver adjust side mirrors still can see the car body. no need to see the car body, push it outward to cover as much area it can cover.

Or u don't check at all while cutting lane.
I wan cut lane this morning suddenly got a mottor appear out of nowhere.
ANd I bang into one few months ago.
He almost lost his leg.
Thank god I ddint get sued.

I am considering a car with blind spot monitor.
I watch youtube like we are suppose to do a shoulder check.
which means u rotate ur head over ur shoulder to check if any sneaky car there.
But I almost broke my neck when I do that.

Dear /k, pls advise.  sad.gif

Buy the round or square blind spot mirror from MR DIY, RM5.90! Stick it on the closest end of the side mirror of your car. Learn to use it everyday. If not buy new car like CX3, CX5, Nissan X-trail, Subaru.

I dunno how good is your peripheral vision. The goal is just to see if there is an object in your blindspot, No need to turn your head all the way over, you only need to know if there is anything there, not ask you to identify car brand/model/number plate.

Alternatively, you can lean forward while looking at your side mirror.

Always check your mirrors regularly while driving so you can maintain constant awareness of the vehicles moving around you. For example, if there was a car in your rear view mirror 5 seconds ago but now it is gone, then be careful when you want to change lanes because it might be in your blindspot.

But most important of all, set up your mirrors properly

If you cannot manage all of the above while driving....call a Grabcar next time.

No, your vehicle should never be seen in the side mirrors.

To have your vehicle visible within the side mirrors, all you have to do is move your head forward and/or closer towards the mirror (left or right)

You'll only ever need to do this when you're parking in tight spots and/or very slow maneuvers.

Practicing constant awareness on your vehicle surrounding will also reduce the need to move your head or even physically turning your neck/head to look. (At blind spots)

The car I drive will further emphasis the importance of proper mirror adjustment considering the entire rear/ sides are huge blindspots

1. TS ade pakai signal or not?

2. TS fix your freaking mirror, I bet 1/2 of your view is the nice shiny side of your car

3. Sometimes you can see their freaking blind spot monitor light up kao kao, they still terus cut into the front 3/4 of your car anyway

Kesimpulanye: no amount of head turning, blind spot mirror or technology will ever prevent people from just cutting into your lane whenever they feel like

No need
They cover up a portion of precious side mirror space
