Dear driver, how you check for blind spot

Or u don't check at all while cutting lane.
I wan cut lane this morning suddenly got a mottor appear out of nowhere. ANd I bang into one few months ago. He almost lost his leg. Thank god I ddint get sued. I am considering a car with blind spot monitor. I watch youtube like we are suppose to do a shoulder check. which means u rotate ur head over ur shoulder to check if any sneaky car there. But I almost broke my neck when I do that. Dear /k, pls advise.  |

I always shoulder check. You'd be surprised how often you spot a car next to you when your side mirror is empty.
Have yet to break my neck tho. You'll get used to it. |

Whenever I switch lane, I'll look into the mirror and SPEED UP BEFORE merging. Match the speed of the incoming lane to minimise such thing. You'll also get to see anything in your blind spot when you suddenly increase your speed.

Get wide angled blind spot mirrors but you still have to turn your head. Sometimes I just don't trust technology (Blind Spot Assist)
