QUOTE(berzerk @ Aug 27 2020, 03:03 PM) assuming a constant westerly which causes crosswind for 90% of your route, why is the average power only 91w? PM calibration problem also? yeah.. powermeter nowadays not reliable one.. 99% rosak.. low average power can be the effect of drafting also.. i think that avg power shown in the photo is just strava estimate.. not from power meter..

QUOTE(benbeaninc @ Aug 27 2020, 03:29 PM) Powermeter with 99% of rosak confirm will get condemned and not sure why anyone to buy with such review... Even the cheapest pm +-2-3%... Possible just Din calibrate properly... Happened to me before... The power reading will be very low... If power from strava.. Maybe the weight not set properly? Power 91w... avg 23km/hr... Personally I can't feel anything below 160w (60kg)... But my avg will be abt 30km/hr +- 3... 91w must be damn effortless joking saja on the 99% rosak thingy.. i am also using a power meter.. so far so good..my watch will prompt calibration everytime u start a ride.. for my weight need 190-200w baru got 30km/h too.. tak cukup aero kot..

QUOTE(benbeaninc @ Aug 27 2020, 03:46 PM) 190-200w for 30km/hr means nth... If u r 100kg... Tat s only 1.9-2w/kg which again means nth if we duno how long u can last with this power... 200w for me is 3.3w/kg for entire ride of 2hrs (hvn try further got I got my pm late) Pros can maintain at above 5w/kg... Memang kuat bro.. means ur ftp way above 3.3w/kg.. and u really damn lightweight.. i still working hard to reduce weight although managed to shred off some weight compared to last year.. my normalized power for 2hr+ baru 2.4w/kg.. so big difference from u.. need to train harder already..

How to check stiffness for bike frame comparison actually?
Gusto Team Sport 2021 with full R7000 groupset or Old Giant Propel 2016/2017 with old mixed shimano 105 is better? they are almost same price now..

QUOTE(lilredridinghood @ Aug 28 2020, 09:57 AM) If you feel the need to use paper figures to gauge stiffness in a frame it is more likely than not that bike stiffness is not a factor. how usually u decide which frame to go.. both also quite reputable.. one new stock one very old stock.. what will be the better choice le?

QUOTE(lilredridinghood @ Aug 28 2020, 10:06 AM) Whatever floats your boat, I’d pick the Propel if both are new. QUOTE(miaopurr @ Aug 28 2020, 10:11 AM) aftersales service warranty spare parts availability aftermarket parts compatibility bb standard user reviews aesthetic and so on....... but nothing about stiffness Because one is older model.. one is super latest with all the latest groupset shiny blinky.. headache.. hahaha

QUOTE(jonlee @ Sep 2 2020, 03:00 PM) Shimano 105 received an upgrade in 2018, which means the old Giant Propel’s set might be ‘previous gen’. If you go read articles / reviews on the R7000 105 compared to Ultegra, it offers similar performance, has better value for money for a mere 200g extra weight only. IMHO go for the new bike... U are paying with your hard earned money, so get something which is new and be proud owning it 😁 Yes,... it is older version of Shimano 105.. not the r7000.. i am getting another one already..

QUOTE(malleus @ Sep 7 2020, 08:51 PM) I find that proper fitting gloves makes more of a difference than bar tape. 2XU and Rudy Project gloves fits best on my hands (skinny fingers), but they also both now discontinued their gloves otherwise other gloves I tried I do notice my hands can still slide inside the gloves, and its that abrasion that causes the problems. Because of this i didnt wear gloves anymore.. previous that glove keep sliding also.. and feels hot in hand.. and also push my ring out..nearly dropped my ring from finger.. i dont usually take off my ring..

QUOTE(miaopurr @ Sep 7 2020, 09:58 PM) because of ill-fitting gloves, u don't wear gloves anymore? why not get the right size ones instead? that one i got was quite tight to wear..need to pull hard to go in then it still slip abit.. not so like it... after i forgot my gloves when i rode to melaka that time (my longest ride so far), i realised it is actually quite comfy to ride without gloves and also no hand pain, so I decided not to use any already..lol..that gloves also keep till koyak d now..also need to buy new one if wanna wear..
