Where's the "Checkout" button  whistling.gif

That button I shape-shifted to only appear on July 8th. The last day to decide before the soul of these games go back to their former bodies at max price.

So,.......fatality now, or fatality later? whistling.gif

Backlog not getting any smaller. Hopefully Z13 and Steam Deck can whittle down backlog smaller. Not pictured: previous years (plural) backlogs. sweat.gif

So, what's good on the Store for 10 dollars?

Shows how neglected my XSX is, other than being a GPU machine, don't even bother checking messages, suddenly got free 10 bucks from daddy Spencer. Most, if not all chats done through Discord anyway.

Looks like I have a definitive date when I can finally move from emulating the game on this:

to playing it natively on PC. Bonus? It's on Game Pass too, if I can juggle off some games on the XSX.

October 21st. Marking my calendar when I can finally remove RPCS3 off my PC. P5 is the only game I emulate and play regularly that's on a platform I'm not willing to invest in (PS) and on a console I've long got rid of (PS4, yuck!). Time to consolidate everything under one platform. Steam. Home rig AND portables. October 21st.

Persona 5 Portable dreams is still alive! On Game Pass too! rclxm9.gif

played P5 on RPCS3 too. using company laptop at that time, so become P5 Portable.  tongue.gif

I'm just bitter Nintendo never consider porting P5 to Switch when I still had a Switch, and yet they get SMT V.

I then chose the portable PC route like you, only mine's on OneXPlayer.

Too bad no portable XSS.

The exciting conclusion to the Monkey Island series marks the return of the iconic series' creator Ron Gilbert, joined by game co-writer/designer Dave Grossman, art director Rex Crowle (Knights & Bikes, Tearaway) and composers Peter McConnell, Michael Land, and Clint Bajakian (Monkey Island, Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge).

Day 1 instant buy! Also making this the conclusion of Monkey Island, sealing it as a TRILOGY, other MI games other than "Escape from Monkey Island" and "LeChuck's Revenge", are not canon to me. Seems like Ron thinks so too.

Wishlisted on Steam, I'll throw cash and/or Bitcoin at the screen if necessary. Give me your masterpiece, Mr. Gilbert!

Hahaha, I just remembered I have USD10 free credit from papa Spencer to spend on, coincidence? Too bad this requires the base game to play, And I only have the base game on Steam.

Too bad not available in third world country Malaysia. Unless you're willing to swallow the enormous lag, from VPN-ing to South Korea. nor does the availability of 2022 Samsung TV with the coorrect region appstore built-in, to grab the streaming app.

Payday means finalizing those Steam Summer Sale purchases. Waiting till today nets RM25 cheaper price reduction on top of the already discounted price.
Should I wait longer till 8th July for more surprise price drops? Or price might just hike back up to normal? just like playing the market, stock or crypto.

This bring a smile to my face, even in these days of jaded gamers. Makes me think if they even game for the joy of it anymore.

Oh well, back to the 1920s. It's less complicated in the days of yore. Thank you Studio MDHR, your time machine works!

No premature celebrating in DLC now, this game will f**k you up if you do. lol.gif Make sure the coast is clear first.

Sometimes I feel that I'm rushing through my games to get through the backlogs. It helps when you're in a Discord channel where everyone pushes/motivates everyone else to get better at whatever they're playing.

Current "Belle of the ball"? Cuphead.

200% Complete, 100% over.

Only that in Cuphead it's never really over. You can always challenge your self with higher difficulty levels or better level completion time, and with the DLC, by handicapping yourself with the Cursed Relic (finish the game with just 1HP, meaning no dying, no hit. Anyone dare?). Replayability factor 10/10.

steam deck? wow.

not gonna buy anything on steam this year, GPU already take most of my gaming time.
*
Not really "wow", if you get it thru MSRP unscalped way. In fact it's the most "meh" PC out there in terms of specs and processing power, my Z13 runs circles around it. Maybe "wow" if anyone manage to navigate through the twisting world of scalped Deck and manage to get one at MSRP, while living in a third world country where Deck isn't released/may never be released officially. If that is the "wow" for, then it's valid, lots of legwork and lots of patience.

If the "wow" is for paying through the noses up the brain for it via local Malaysian scalpers, then it's a cynical "wow" I suppose. tongue.gif For 6499/6999/7999 of the local currency, you would indeed say "wow" cynically. lol.gif

Sorry late reply, too many new Steam games to install and play. rclxm9.gif

After this month's disappointing offerings on GPU, to me personally at least, I hope this game can cure that disappointment.

Not helping the clogged log at the back though. Thankfully portables helps.

Despite enjoying them almost daily. Not going to say "playing" over "enjoying", "playing" sounds a bit like it's a chore to complete. No point playing if you dont enjoy them.

And then there's the next door console,

wow because deck is rarer than PS5.
yeah the spec is meh, but the portability is so tempting.
not gonna buy thru scalper, the price is too high for that spec.

just recover from covid. during quarantine, no energy to play game.
*
The Deck rarity is artificial. Portability is tempting but AAA games runtime is highly dependent on how ugly you can tolerate the game to look to extend the battery life. Ugly as in lowered resolution, lowered framerates, lowered quality settings. All in the desperate attempt of prolonging battery life away from power outlet. Battery tech needs to catch up with the rest of the techs on the Deck.

I guess KJ's warning about COVID next wave outbreak has some merit. Coincidentally, my brother-in-arms in USA(my Steam Deck only source) caught COVID too, he contracted if on his fishing outing with his Jeep-modding buddies, now still quarantining himself in his Mason City home. He's just glad he's not going insane bored with quarantine taking his freedom away (we all know how Americans value their freedom), thanks to his Deck. These days I dont care or have the energy to care what others do to stop COVID spread or prevention. Can only do what's good for myself. Everybody now in "self-survival me first" mode anyway. Minimize going out unless absolutely necessary. But that kinda defeats the purpose of owning the Deck, unless you consider wandering around your home playing your Deck as "worthwhile" lol.gif.

battery life really bad eh?
seems like need to wait for deck 2 or something better.
at least deck can run AAA games, unlike switch.
*
6-8hrs using the Deck as a Linux PC, nothing process-intensive other than web-browsing. 2hrs gaming on AAA games, you can stretch that to 4hrs if you're willing to game at uglier settings (lower than native res, 30fps framerate lock, Low in-game settings).

And can run Switch games, made hassle-free easy by EmuDeck. No point wait for Deck 2 for battery improvement if the SoC in future Decks kept getting more powerful and power hungry but battery tech still Li-Ion. End result? Forever tethered to power outlet or powerbanks. Easiest way to see is, watch the smartphone scene. Once people stop carrying powerbanks with their phone while gamingon them, then it'll the same will be for Deck. Enough battery life for gaming to last the day outside and away from power outlets.

then maybe cloud "is" the future. using weak hardware and stream AAA game directly to mini/portable device.
as you said above, unless future SoC is not power hungry (usually its not, but this is x86 we talking about, not ARM), portable gaming pc will not gonna be on the same level as smartphone.
*
Then I rather stick to the format we had long before the Deck came in and tried to fix, but not entirely succeed in fixing (if it even needed fixing at all) .

The laptop format.

You will have to pay me to entice me to use GeForce Now/Stadia/Luna/ShadowTech. For the kind of games I play, latency is very forgiving, but still jarringly felt. I rather play native games at lower frame rates with LFC on, settings turned down low, etc ......point is, natively playable than anything streamed.
