Already available, with PLENTY of compromises. Was considering this setup at one time, until Z13 came into my life.

FH5 on Z13 running on battery, 900p Low settings with dynamic resolution scaling, headset plugged in, brightness 50%, Xbox controller either wired or BT. I get close to 4hrs runtime.

Imperfections of Low settings are less noticeable on smaller screens like Z13's. The same trick Steam Deck uses with Low settings on its 7" 800p screen.

Experience with these devices makes you appreciate running games at poor man's specs on portable and then switching to full power 4K 120fps at home on desktop PC. Two opposite ends of the graphics whore spectrum.

When you have no choice, and you're either determined not to be bored waiting for things to happen in public, planned or otherwise, and when technology still hasn't catch up with what you can enjoy at home versus what you can enjoy outside of your home. Inb4 "you're outside, do outside things", have you seen how shitty things has turn out post-pandemic, outside of your home? Both in human behavior and services/options for enjoyment available outside in this third world country?

Low res low settings on small size screen, you can get away with lots of ugliness. Ignore the numbers (res, fps), just drink in the small screen visuals.

Did that with the Fold 2. Not to fond with the latency and the way games feel on that, gave up on that.

OLED phone wont be able to hide macroblocking and pixelating when bandwidth gets restricted, especially in public, then have to start yelling "Get off the network!" to random people.

The problem with game streaming, you're never in control of the quality, you're at the mercy of the quality of the network where the stream occurs. Trust me, I was the biggest proponent of game streaming once, got the Shield Portable (still have it in storage) just to try Geforce Now in its heydays. I'm sure things are better now, but I prefer native over anything streamed.

Even my TV shows I cancelled all of them, Disney+/HBO Max/Netflix, I get my shows sailing the high seas only because I get to enjoy them natively. Kills the excitement when stream cuts off half way through an episode or movie. And everyone here saw how excited I was at first with the prospect of streaming shows and movies the second they're available. Other thing, I'm a "give me everything or dont give me anything at all" kinda person. Nothing halfway or half measures. I guess I'm a Sith, I deal in absolutes.

I'm glad, I'm happy, nay..... I'm RELIEVED Stray is reviewed as a good game. After the disappointing July offerings on GPU, was hoping Stray erases that disappointment. not to mention, still on sale -10% on Steam at only RM48! Feasting on Deck!

Tetris Effect Connected (been waiting for sale for this, today is the day as VR Fest sale hits Steam with this game part of that sale!) RM42 at 35% discount. A no-brainer buy, since the game has permanently stayed on my XSX since the day 1. Perfect chill game........... until the blocks starts ramping up its drop speed.

This and Stray unlocking in less than 4 hours at midnight, should keep me busy. Playing across all platform sizes (desktop PC, Z13 and Deck).

EDIT: Wow, Stray PC review copies must've been shitty when they were complaining of low fps and stutter. I'm getting 141fps max settings uncapped framerate on desktop 3080Ti, and 71fps on Z13's 3050. Drops to 91fps on desktop 3080Ti/43fps on Z13's 3050 on cutscenes, and Stray ain't some fast pace game, nor does cutscene story expositions requires blistering 120fps.

No signs of FH5's HotWheels expansion yet though. Steam Deck Stray test tomorrow after wake up. Meow!

FH5 HotWheels expansion DLC out, ready for consumption. Reports showing weird download behaviours on different platforms.

On Xbox consoles, the game queues massive GBs of download packages almost same size of main game, despite being DLC. C'mon Playground Games, you're not turning your game into COD are you?

on PC, Steam version points to and downloads MS Store version, prompting Playground Games to issue separate link to Steam version on the Steam support forum. No auto update download yet.

What la these Brits, a little bit of 40C heatwave already headless chicken like this.

Very useful Game Pass companion app and library tracker . Love the forum there too, lively conversations in there as well.

Feels blasphemous to have this ready for preorder, unlocking in 3 weeks. Didn't bother to play this even in its previous-gen iteration on next-door neighbor slanty last-gen box.
