Yup agree about the meaningful content. My go-to for relaxing is usually a fighting game. Specifically playing the arcade mode. Games like Street Fighter Zero 2 will forever be played by me, because it respects my time. Pick a character, play through about 15 minutes to 30 minutes, see the ending. That's a wrap. I've gotten my gaming fix of the day.
I love, LOVE The Witcher 3. But I also can't possibly do every single gear hunt or side mission. I swear, while trying to complete one, a dozen more pop up. These side stuff unfortunately burned me out from completing the game. My save game remains where I left it. So close to the final quest, yet I don't feel like picking it up ever again. I already spent way too much time on that game.
Witcher 3: collected all the witcher gear set, cleared all the ? on all maps and all quests, on the easiest setting

I'm too old to challenge any games on their highest difficulty already
but when come to Zelda BOTW, all those undiscovered/unsolved shrines are bugging me, i did burned out on those, as well as collecting those stupid seeds
completionist in me forced me to stop at the final dungeon, and it's has been sitting there for few years till now
and if I were to continue the game, I wouldn't know how to play and where am I supposed to go already, and will have to start from beginning, and that added to the cause of it still being uncomplete
similar things happened to HZD as well, I'm nearing the end already, collected & upgraded tonnes of gears, then one day I just stare at the map of side quests & unexplored areas and decided to call it a quit
used to love farcry series as well, explored and completed everything on the map, but Farcry 5 now is still collecting digital dust, haven't even got motivation or mood to load it up yet
