QUOTE(ben3003 @ Feb 17 2021, 10:30 AM) OLED is the future la... samsung also wan finally yield and keluar OLED liao. Burn in is definitely a real thing. I won't say it's nothing to worry about. It's true that more recent advances in OLED manufacturing have come up with tech to reduce possibility of burn in. But if you run content with a static image for many, many hours per day, the possibility for burn in os still there. It sort of creates a situation where you have to pamper your OLED TV. Not pausing games or tv shows, not watching a channel with a static logo for too long. That kind of thing.https://www.channelnews.com.au/samsung-tipp...r-oled-in-2022/ OLED burn-in issue is overblown issue, probably thanks to marketing team by samsung. stop worrying about burn-in lol. Having said that, I like that there is new competition from Micro LED and QD OLED. Competition is always healthy, and I think it will also make the OLED guys (LG in this case) be on their toes always. |

QUOTE(ahucks @ Feb 17 2021, 02:35 PM) I'm using a Samsung Q80T at the moment. It has full array backlighting, variable refresh rate, auto low latency mode and 120Hz support. The only real drawback is it has only ONE HDMI 2.1 port. LG's Nanocell has HDMI 2.1 on all the ports. At a cheaper price too. I wish Samsung wouldn't be so stingy sometimes. |

![]() Model: Samsung Q950T Previously it was advertised to have HDMI 2.1 but right now most of their information has cut down this info. And now looking at the HDMI guide, really potong stim Next time new TV purchase can only rely eArc i guess but right now my home setup require more than 3 meter long. QUOTE(ahucks @ Feb 17 2021, 03:25 PM) Provide your HDMI Switch is powerful one ?Certain branded HDMI switch if you check closely they will stated that: HDMI input 1 : 4k60hz HDMI input 2 : 4k30hz Input both at the same time : 4k 30hz So i guess, right now hard to see switch with all HDMI 2.1 ? QUOTE(ahucks @ Feb 17 2021, 03:25 PM) Yup exactly. For now I have none of them haha. Maybe in future if I have one or both? The Series X will use the HDMI 2.1 port. Because I want to take advantage of VRR. PS5 doesn't have VRR so I will just connect it either to one of the other ports, or to my AV amplifier. I actually mostly want VRR support on Series X. If I wanted to play at 120fps, my PC already does a better job than either consoles. |

Does your Freesync/ VRR set to ultimate ?LG Nano86 should be the one with HDMI 2.1 https://www.lg.com/my/tvs/lg-65nano86tna Mine basic if not wrong, xbox series x won't pick up So i change to ultimate and then VRR can be ticked. But during game, i will face the image turn black for 0.2 second and come back or is it so called "flicker" ? So right now my setting are disable VRR I saw some ppl said need to turn off HDR as it conflict but i dun wan give up HDR lolz.. QUOTE(tripleB @ Feb 17 2021, 03:51 PM) Oh no. That sucks bro. No idea, i think so far only left Germany country has the "HDMI 2.1" promo under their page : Germany Sammy Q950T![]() Lots ppl sent email to samsung regarding this but you know la .. those "supporting team" basically useless and read from script one.. Right now this model also lack LPCM which they said will have a new update to unlock it by this month. But i must say this sound bar does outstanding performance when it comes to Atmos. Glad that Xbox give us option to have Dolby Atmos to immerse with the game I hope more game will implement with good audio. |
