We will see what the ASM1 dividend is and might withdraw some funds in early April. But anything better than 5% and we will probably leave our funds where they are in ASM1.

Good news for EPF should mean good news for ASB/ASM.

Probably we looking around 5% to 5.2% range for ASMx funds this year...

God willing 🙏
*
I know it is looking a long way ahead but, subject to no nasty geo political surprises, I think ASB1 should be above 6% in December. Maybe 6.25% to 6.50%.

Need to see all the 3 ASMx series dividend rates first...

Then only can somehow get hints on ASB1 end of December....

Looking forward for ASM1 end of March....

No reasom for ASM1 to be less than 5.25% imho.

Personally I don't think would be below 5%

More like 5% to 5.25%

Always got "buffer" with flagship fund ASB1 no matter what...

I can confidently say Now, it's sure won't be more than ASB dividend rate 😀
*
Agreed:

My predictions for the rest of the year are:

ASM1 5.25%
ASB2 5.75%
ASB3 5.75%
ASM2 5.25%
ASM3 5.25%
ASB1 6,25%

Look no further to increase PNB AUM, why not uncap and open up the pelaburan baru funds for ASMx to tap unlimited savings from the public?

https://theedgemalaysia.com/node/744529
"Since 2021, Permodalan Nasional Bhd’s (PNB) assets under management (AUM) have been stagnating, partly because Malaysians are saving and investing less with the government-linked investment company's (GLIC) many funds. Its president and group chief executive Datuk Abdul Rahman Ahmad hopes to change that and grow its AUM again.

“It has become an uphill challenge to get Malaysians to save and invest. This has put pressure on PNB’s ability to grow its AUM, because we rely purely on voluntary savings. All investment funds need to grow their funds in a measured manner in order to deliver sustainable returns,” says Abdul Rahman in a recent interview with The Edge."
*
I heard on the radio this morning that the Malaysian economy grew by 5.1% in 2024 v 3.3% in 2023 so I am hoping that is good news for all PNB fund’s dividends.

Just a quick question abt ASB

I being parking bits of $ inside once a while but unfortuantely I need to withdraw some for emergency use.

Since its more than the app 2K limit i beleive need go to the branch to withdraw (and move to one of my bank account).
Is it a easy process (I assume need fill in some form)? Do I need to pay any admin fees to do so?

What kind of penalty am I expected from doing so? Would I totally lost out dividend for this year on my remaining fund?

What does "Available Units for Deposit" with some numbers beside it (example 1,000,000) mean on the My Fund tab? Does this mean amount/space on the funds which I can further top up?

Speaking of above if I sorted my stuff and have leftover funds, can I redeposit into the fund immediately which I withdrew from or I need to wait the subscription availability to open up?
*
Our agent bank is Maybank and there are no fees to withdraw. Withdrawal is instantaneous and shows immediately in our Maybank account.

Regarding interest; you will get the interest calculated on the lowest monthly balance.

Eg: if you had 100k in for 11 months and withdrew 50k in month 12, your dividend (assuming 5% dividend) would be 100k X 0.05 x 11/12 plus 50k X 0.05 X 1/12.

EPF is expected to declare its dividend by 1/3/25 and it is expected to be better than last year.

Good news for ASM1 and ASB2 dividends due 31/3/25.

It looks like they are trying to manage our expectations.

Probably just over 6% for ASBx and just over 5% for ASMx for a while.

I don't know if you guys realized or not...

Just saw some interesting trend... On banking sector

Maybank - ASNB funds is the biggest shareholders... Gave out historical high dividends

RHB - EPF holds quite substantial shares there also declare historical high dividends

Another one is Sime Darby... Different sector...

MR DIY too...

All like giving historical high dividends paid for FY24...

It's they all being "pressured" by local funds "indirectly"????

On positive side, it's bring $$$ to respective funds of ASNB & EPF...

It has to be a good thing for all market returns to be good - doesn’t it?

I’ll stick my neck out and say ASM1 dividends will be at least 5.25%.

Correct. The app always shows the most recent dividend paid. It will be updated on (or shortly after) 1/4/25 - hopefully to >5.25%.

With USA escalating the tariff war with Mexico, Canada and China and with the inevitable tit for tat responses, the markets are all down today. Hopefully, common sense will return asap.

Global markets are all down, KLSE down circa 5.% in the month. Any bets on what that might do to ASM1 and ASB2 dividends?

Hopefully, geo political stability will then be returned before the end of June.

But who knows.....

If trend continues... Might hit back that 3.75% level again... History repeat 😭

Hopefully still can maintain above 4% & maybe goes towards 5%....

Fingers crossed

Nobody knows for sure, of course, but I can't see things getting as bad as that - unless all out war occurs. In that case, dividends will be the least of our worries. I think I will stick with 5.75% for ASB2 and 5.25% for ASM1 at the end of March. Then, we will have to see what happens in the rest of the world before anyone can make a half sensible prediction on ASB3 at the end of June - which is slightly worrying for me as that is where the bulk of our investment is.

I suppose if Sapura can now pay its debts it will improve the share price which will, hopefully, help ASM dividends.

Survival rate sure very low one...

Don't even need to think about ASMx... It's would be worthless...

Anyhow....
Counting the days to ASM1 dividend announcement 😁

We have made a decision as a family. Previously we always tried to leave a small amount of our total annual dividends reinvested as a token hedge against inflation. If return was 5% then maybe 3.5% as income and 1.5% as a token hedge against inflation. But from now onwards we will be happy to withdraw all of our dividends each year and concentrate on having some fun while we still can.

Well... It's depends on one age & lifestyle...

Didn't really follow yours life... But I assume already hit retirement age???

Then better to enjoy the $$$ that you earn over the years.... When one gets too old.... Health issues comes knocking...

Looking at how Trump & overall world economy goings... It's gonna be hard hit.... From stocks, EPF, ASMx & ASBx...
*
Yes, already retired but with a young daughter at international school so finances are ‘interesting’ to say the least. My wife is only a few years younger than me so we would like to have some nice holidays with our daughter and make some more memories without compromising what we can leave to our daughter.
