I scared the previous history repeats itself....

After 1 week or so...  got new statement from them.......
*
I thought the RM896.01 million was fund performance.

Quote: The income for ASM 3 is derived from realised gains, dividend income and other sources of income from both domestic and international investments. Unquote:

But yes, I suspose 'other sources of income from domestic and international investments' is open to interpretation.

Previously few years back I think...

There's errors on initial release... After like 1 week... They gave out new set of numbers.....

So I assume same thing this year too?? Because they didn't say the source & it's percentage from where & where.... Very general statement only....
*
This has also got me thinking about the ASB1 dividend at the end of the year. Last year it was 5.75% but it was 5.5% + 0.25% bonus if I remember correctly. That leaves the door open for ASNB to just declare a flat 5.5% this year and claim that it is the same fund performance as last year.

But ASB1 always got bonus...and they tend to combine both....

So they can either reduce one of it, & smoothen it with others... I speculating it's the principal dividend get reduced but bonuses increase.... To end up same as last year dividend???

Their marketing statement???
We managed to give higher bonuses to the people even during this challenging period 😔
*
Well, provided it all adds up to at least 5.75% and hopefully 6.0%, I’ll be satisfied.

ASNB won't risk with giving out lower dividends rates for flagship fund.... Even ASMx series maintaining their rates....

So I speculating it's status quo as for rest of the year...

And probably higher rates for FY26 excluding ASM1 which status quo @ 5%
*
I think you may be right. So, for 2026, looking at 5.0% for all ASM FP Funds, maybe 5.5% for ASB2/3 and 6.0% for ASB1.

I could live with that.

disappointed with the 4.75 div given.

was expecting 5

will withdraw asm3 soon... maybe mid nov to dump into kwsp 2 maximize it.

I think 2025 has been a bad year for funds as a consequence, mainly, of tariffs. I am hopeful that ‘normal service’ will be resumed in 2026/27 which may require a little patience but, imho, still makes ASNB FP Funds worth holding.

Liquidity vs Higher return

Pick your choice

Anyway ASM still sold out

I can see the attraction of EPF to the younger investor who is in a reasonably well paid job but I am in my 60s now and prefer the stability that ASM FP Funds offer. As ever, a diversified portfolio is best. It’s just a question of how much you invest where.

Spot on boss...

This what I keep telling.... Many don't really understand what I'm saying....... Probably not related to them or no affects at all???

I'm Not saying EPF is totally wrong decisions... You need access to the $$$ when in needs....  EPF only got 10% + 15% (with valid & approved reason)....

Meanwhile ASMx got 100%....

🙏

My situation is slightly unusual in that I am not Malaysian but my wife is so we put the money in her ASM/ASB FP Funds where the liquidity is attractive. I also hope/believe that the gap in dividends between ASM/EPF will close over the coming years and if we withdraw from ASM now it may not be easy to buy back when returns improve.

KLSE is doing quite well again. Hopefully that will be sustained and we can see maybe 6% on ASB1 at the end of the year and set the tone for 2026.

You are better off with epf right since after 60 withdrawal can be done anytime.

Easier to withdraw also and much higher dividend .

Younger ppl maybe need asm one since epf starts to shift their gold post.
1m to ultimately 1.3m in few years as min requirement to withdraw below 60.
*
All agreed as far as you have gone but if we leave Malaysia permanently (always possible) we would want to extract all of our investments completely and I am not sure we can do that with EPF. Happy to be corrected though.

FYI only

[Source]

Members who have given up your Malaysian citizenship to migrate to another country, expatriates, Permanent Residents (PR) or foreign workers returning to your home country can choose to withdraw all of your EPF savings.
*
And that is the issue. My wife wouldn't be giving up her Malaysian citizenship but living as a PR in another country on her Malaysian passport. The wording is a little vague but I read it as PR in Malaysia (non Malaysian citizens) returning to their own country. It does not seem to apply to a Malaysian citizen living under PR in another country.

If you (or rather your wife) want to withdraw EPF early, you need to give up your citizenship, no two ways about it.
*
Thank you. Yes, that is my understanding too but always happy to have it corrected and/or validated.

It has been very quiet on this thread recently. I see that the Ringgit continues to strengthen against the $ and the £. I am not sure how this may affect dividends other than negatively for all investments in $ and £.

Any expert can advice us when age of 55 years old and you are holding RM1mil networth, where do you park you saving/investment (extremely safe).
*
If you want safe, guaranteed modest returns and 100% liquidity, ASMX or ASBX is the only real option imho.

I understand the attraction of EPF but the rules are subject to change.

Seems like ASNB funds especially ASM 2 have some increased their foreign investment exposure....

From the usual 20% - 23% for years to current 27%+

Was expecting more.... But it's good decision & strategy....

In 2026, I'm looking forward for at least 30% 😁
*
Agreed.

I think we will eventually see this policy translate into returns of about 5.5% for ASMX and >6% for ASBX funds.

I am hopeful of 6% dividend for ASB1 at the end of 2025.
