Well... Today confirm no news. No news is good news. It is now the final countdown... We should see something when we wake up tomorrow morning .. so... Sleep tight tonight. If too excited go bang head against wall and knock yourself out. Just make sure you wake up by 8am tomorrow morning and not 2050

QUOTE(MrBlackie33 @ Aug 30 2022, 10:17 AM) Hmm okay, stock market not being kind to us recently, even my own portfolio down a lot, guess epf will not be good as well next year If GF not ngam better break earlier than later. Choose wife must choose properly. If you choose one that harms you and creates chaos.. better let go. Look at MO1. So breaking up is not bad thing. If she suits you will suit you. If not better let go. Time wasted better than life wasted later. Better now than later. Look at ASM.. up or down still helps you all the way. Find GF find wife must be like ASM. Up or down still there and support you with all they can. Help you and support you in life. Put money in your pocket where good or bad economy. Even bad economy still put some money in your pocket. As long as you hold asm.. they will continue to put money and enrich your life. Great support irregardless what time or economy state. What a sad day, break up with gf, and this low interest This post has been edited by Wolves: Aug 30 2022, 10:26 AM MrBlackie33 liked this post

QUOTE(MrBlackie33 @ Aug 30 2022, 10:47 AM) Lol u made my day, still have faith in ASM in long term, just little bit dissapointed and hard to swallow when FD rate is increasing till 3.3% while in contrast ASM is dropping, another pain in the ass when next month ASM3 being announce at the same rate The way i see it is that the dividend is for the past 12 months.. Not future 12 months. For the past 12 months FD is 2.2 to 2.6% max so you already beat that by 1% plus. 1% is still 1% more. Still ok. Just that next year performance need to see again. So.. not so bad la.. QUOTE(MattSally @ Aug 30 2022, 10:55 AM) OPR will likely rise by 0.25% before ASM3 declares its dividend which means FD rate available will likely be 3.6% by then. Almost sama sama. Still same as my response to the other guy. It's past 12 months rate which of 3.7% we already beat. Just moving forward how. The million dollar question will be.. where should we put the money that we have now until next year. |

QUOTE(adam1190 @ Aug 30 2022, 11:15 AM) I feel putting money in reit when share prices dip a bit is better although there is risk associated and not completely risk free Can elaborate on what reits? I been looking at reits in Malaysia. Macam not much options and stock prices are very volatile now. Plus there is a risk of recession pending US unemployment announcement soon and the interest rate hike soon. From what i read and learn.. we should still see effects of recession until mid next year so i am holding cash for now to wait for it. Those that already in asm or other places of coz no touch. Just newly acquired one i holding in a liquid place where i earn 3% until end of year and looking for places to deploy to. So can elaborate on what reits you talking about? |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Aug 30 2022, 11:44 AM) Reits like midvalley. What you mean reits like midvalley? Is there something like that on bursa or we need to other channel to buy shares? So far i only see a few on bursa.. the one i watching is UOA developments which i think it's reits but still watching it see how it goes. Alternatively look at our neighbours. Some of their safe REITs offering 5-6%p.a and paying in SGD. QUOTE(Ramjade @ Aug 30 2022, 11:57 AM) Parkway life. I think now also offering 3%+. IBKR can buy Singapore reits right? If you don't mind GLC reits, mapletree, ascends and capitaland are the safest around. Those are the ones giving 5%+. |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Aug 30 2022, 12:03 PM) Yup .. Epf cannot withdraw until 50 years old... I still got some time to reach there Now seems like EPF is more better bet vs ASNB funds... Yes. It's not apple to apple comparable.... But both is based in Malaysia & "unit price is fixed"... ie. Rm1 mean rm1... No change when dump into account.... Unlike others investment.... Might swing either way after "invest".... |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Aug 30 2022, 12:19 PM) Midvalley is a REIT. It's traded on bursa as IGBreit. Ah.. ok.. thanks for the info. Will look into it nowCan but not the best platform as with reits you will be asked to cough up money some where down the road by sub for their rights. Ibkr doesn't let you sub for rights. Use FSM sg. |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Aug 30 2022, 03:07 PM) seems like nothing is safe nowadays.... It really depends on the person. Most times it's something the user has done. Asnb apps withdrawal max 2k a month plus only to bank account registered and approved in the database which must be own name. Anything more need go counter. Transfer to another person need to be at the counter and presence of the person withdrawing. Wakaf i not familiar but it's like donating your asnb units to charity and only dividends gained used for charity purposes but the original units is still there under the depositors name. So technically can still get back. Plus it is still within the depositors "asset". So i dunno what is going on but it should be able to be easily sorted out.was thinking ASNB okay... since they quite old school esp on withdrawals... |
