Every time I hear about gigabit Ethernet “not needed”, I chuckle.. Sure in a perfect world you fight only need 30Mbps to stream “UHD” content, but more often than not... said “UHD” is not actually real UHD content. Neither do most households only consist of a single user, single device using the internet at only one time. Moving on, there are other uses where that gigabit Ethernet port (which should be standard across boxes today and a minimum requirement) comes in handy. Being able to download or upload faster. 500Mbps+ download speeds are SIGNIFICANTLY faster than 30/100Mbps. Can be the difference between waiting for a short while for that huge game data to be downloaded or having multiple high speeds downloads ongoing in the background, while comfortably streaming true 4K content in the foreground. IMO.

Another thing.. Some things I look for in my media boxes are:
*Manufacturer support for ideally 2 years minimum. I don’t think can expect more. Except for the Nvidia Shield .. another topic..
*Stable stock ROM
*Even more stable custom ROMs options with added features. Although this is negligible if the ori stock ROM is already excellent.
*Solid reliable performance. Powered on each & every time..
*Build quality.
*Good heat dissipation.
*Decent HD Audio support.. Passthrough very important.
*Easy to flash and hard to brick.
*Excellent Kodi support.
*Warranty (if available)
For the sake of this thread... Beelink boxes thus far, fit the above criteria and more.. So I’d be more comfortable plonking cash for em than the others listed above. Hopefully I can get hands on experience with them for a fair comparison. Thanks for all the input and questions.. They are most welcome..
