My hometown still using 4mbps whereas the neighbour beside is using 8mbps. I went to TM Point and the staff said technician need to check the capability of the copper wire. I said when can it know? He said end of this year and now December. If still not upgrading the speed still need to go TM Point make complaint, but I hate doing it so, wasting time and disappointed every time.

If your modem is located near stairs on ground floor, and you can place your router high near staircase, a single router router eg Asus RT-AC86U or TP-Link Deco M5 x3 is probably enough.

If not, I feel no single router or Mesh Wifi within your budget can sufficiently give 100mbps on 3rd floor.
*
Modem is near the stairs on the third floor, planning to put a mesh unit near the stairs on the second floor & the first floor. The most important is the third floor anyways where pc & tvs are there.

mesh wifi is the best solution for multi floor. if u want full speed, use ethernet backhaul.

My current router is the Asus RT-AC1300UHP. Planning to upgrade is together with buying the mesh. So 1 router with 2 mesh devices is what I’m looking at currently.

IMO Mesh Wifi limited to 3 floors, and main Mesh must be at the middle floor.

Beyond that, centralised wired APs eg Ubiquiti Unifi ecosystem is a must.

other solution, just maintain your router but need to put at center place for your router either on third or second floor. The wifi antenna of your router need adjust facing, 1 for straight, 1 for back, 2 for left and right. 2 ceiling AP's put at center top ceiling first and second/third floor. mesh also need put at center place of each floor, if want mesh. Addon switch if want more ports.

Eventhough Last 2 Years Back, I received calls From Maxis Person who told my Parents to upgrade to Maxis Home Fibre but I Request No to Maxis Home Fibre because I heard they had a lot complains about Speed Drop Packet Per Loss Data Everytime eventhough Internet is Down For Maxis Fibre in Some Locations.Even Ping Congested while Playing Games.Customers are Very Disappointing of Telco Monopoly.Big Companies wanted to Have More money and rip off the people.

Yesterday TM Technician Add VDSL 2 Huawei Hg655m A Specifications to Make my VOIP Calls separate . I don't like the I Specifications of The VDSL2 Modem.
Speedtest Net Shows Higher Speeds of 30 Mbps to 33 Mbps Upload speeds to 11.5 Mbps.

Last Two Years Stated in TM Advertisement or Lowyatnet News for Unifi Lite 10 Mbps.I immediately Shouted to Unifi Centre to immediately upgrade my Bonaza Package to 10 Mbps Unifi Lite. So Disappointing the CS There.

It Depends on Psychological Pricing for People Who Wanted Cheaper Internet Plans Like a Malaysian attitude. Sometimes Agents Want Money To Target Commission
for Certain Amount. Actually I finished Year 11 and Interested in Networking For Unifi Equipment. Since 13-14 Years Old. But Time Fibre or Unifi is the Best. Say No No to Maxis and Hotlink Home Fibre

Yup, pricing is a problem. I can get cheapest postpaid plan with RM10.60. I do know both unifi and Maxis fibre issue. I don't want fall on their cocky business pattern with 24 months contract. Probably streamyx experience affected my decision too.

I saw the hotlink postpaid flex + fibre online. Actually i went to apply at TM agent booth outside the new condo. He keeps promoting to sign up. But when i ask about public ip he answered other things. That's fine they are agent. If my place got Time Fibre then i wouldn't think so much.

The Best is to go to TM Point For Good Unifi TM Contractor and they will give u the Stable Modems than the Authorised Dealer. You can Enquire More Details About Your Suggestions Regarding on Public IP. Or You can look For Time Fibre Through Online. They Have RM 100 Rebate on your First Bill for Every Time Fibre Package. 100 Mbps for RM 99.

I recommended TM Point Titiwangsa. The Service is Okay. But You Can't guarantee that The Person Can Do the right Form of Application

I feel like my router is a bit outdated, maybe higher ACs would benefit the 800mbps?

So router in front of the stairs floor 3,
mesh besides the stairs floor 2,
mesh in front of the stairs floor 1,
wouldn’t work that well?
