That is most unfortunate and not right. It shouldn't matter where you are geographically, one should be able to receive push updates from the manufacturer when within support period. You should check it you KNOX has been tripped.
What you said makes sense. Did you ask the seller why the accessories came in a plastic wrapper?
*
Oh.. it wasn't my unit but from user-tai_digidestany
I bought mine from T&L Telecom (HK-based seller) and they are real brand new and sealed units.

His Note10+ 5G already has verizon sim card inside the tray and developer options is turned on.
Buyers who posted pictures of the units in Lazada show old boxes

Hi, wonder if you could bend over backwards a little and help me...I am looking to buy either a Huawei P30 Pro or Realme X2 Pro from out of the country, especially the latter as the prices are relatively lower. But the main criteria would be Google service must be pre-installed.

Does your friendly seller have that? Appreciate your assistance.
*
Huawei phones locally are sold cheaper than overseas so you may want to check their promotion for 12.12.- 2799RM for the P30 Pro.

Based on their reply, he avoided your query why developer settings is ON and why your accessories are wrapped in plastic.

You do NOT need a technician to verify whether the telco works because the hardware itself (frequency bands) is supported in the first place.
They mentioned the staff checked if it's charging properly but how did they end up turning on developer options?!

This is how the package looks like

Notice the arrangement of accessories?
It's like they took the box from a different device.

I would definitely make the action as advised.
*
Just an advice, take lots of pictures of the phone and its accessories.
Take screenshot of the firmware version, take screenshot of developer option.
Take picture with verizon sim tray etc..
Send a formal email to Lazada and explain all these things.

You can also check now if Knox is tripped or the phone is rooted or not.
There is one buyer in Lazada who is so angry with the seller as he tried to return the item for whatever reason and when he did,
AZ Tech told the guy that he didn't return the sim card tray so no refund can be made.

Lazada sided with AZ Tech so I assume he got back the phone without the sim tray. Poor guy.

Yes, you are right. It somehow looks very odd/fishy how the accessories in the box doesn't match. Can't believe they would do such a thing and pass it off as a new unit 😓

There are bogus sellers out there.
Brand New Galaxy Note 10 - 3199RM from Senheng (2979 promo price tomorrow).

SAMSUNG Galaxy NOTE 10 Plus ORIGINAL MPORTED As New Condition [12GB RAM+ 256GB /512GB ROM]

As New Condition and New don't necessarily mean the same thing.
*
Check Q&A in Lazada.
Many have already asked if it's conditioned as new/refurbished/used but they insist it's brand new smile.gif

In Shopee, they also posted the item condition as New instead of Used wink.gif

Note that a reconditioned as new item is considered USED because you were never the first owner of the phone smile.gif

I wish to buy from them, since the feedback is good. However, i dont see they sell note10 plus  cry.gif

They are! Lol. Double check the store but it's 4,299RM. With 10% cashback, you still get 42990 coins or 429RM worth in Shopee. wink.gif

Edit: T&L in Lazada is selling Note 10+ for 3,459!
You'll get a Snapdragon dual sim device from HK. Not refurbished, not from US!

*
Nope! It's an SD unit. You can flash the REAL unlocked US variant with no telco bloatware. It's a "U1" firmware instead of "U". Just google how.

the price you have to pay to get import stuff... sweat.gif

No. It's the price to pay for all online buyers. That's why you have to research and be careful when buying online.

There are good and bad online sellers.

At the same time the existence of the pre-installed Verizon simcard might be explained here but here's the weird part; it stated that it has pre-installed screen protector; then why on earth AZ-Tech on the first place mentioned that they need to open the box for QC check and applying the screen protector where as the screen protector has been pre-installed!?
Yes, the IMEI matched with my phone.

- Correct. Apply screen protector when we all know there is a pre-installed screen protector. The question is WHY do they have to do that?!

QUOTE
And here's the content of the package of the accessories in the phone wrapped in sealed plastic:

- To be fair, they look NEW. I believe these are genuine Samsung accessories

QUOTE
At the same time, here's one thing that really weird; the sealed sticker is not aligned. It was explained by AZ-Tech that they want to make the QC check but why the unaligned sealed sticker?

- My GUESS is that these are 2 different boxes that got mixed up for whatever reason

QUOTE
After I use HotShield VPN and use USA server, I finally can update my Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G as per attached below the latest update installed;

- This is good news!

QUOTE
Here's what I think; this phone is actually a new phone; but they just take the front box cover that stated the IMEI and use another different back box from the same variant; that explain the misalignment of sealed sticker; and at the same time, they put OEM accessories in the box; which explained they put it in sealed plastic.

- To avoid customs perhaps??!

QUOTE
The reason why Developer Options was on; in my humble opinion; that Samsung or Verizon has to installed Verizon's app in the phone in which it need to be done via ADP USB in which it need to be enable by enabling the Developer Options.

- This, I'm not sure of. From what I know, there is no manual intervention even on telco providers. If you have thousands of units being sold by Verizon, do you think they would do it manually?

QUOTE
Perhaps AZ-Tech being partially truth about the phone is a new phone but they are not being fully honest about the whole process; including the box and sealed in plastics accessories.

So yeah, I would advice people to stay away from AZ-Tech due to their dishonesty and transparency.

- This is what we've all been asking for. Just be truthful of the process. If they need to hide the units in customs and have to ship the boxes/accessories separately, they should tell their buyers so people won't doubt the authenticity of their products.

So I made some photo comparison last night with my Motorola One Zoom vs Note 10 Gcam vs Note 10 Snapdragon Stock Camera.

As expected, Samsung is still aggressive with de-noise and softens image.
I was expecting Note10 to be at least on par with my stock Motorola One Zoom camera but it loses to a phone considered to be an upper midrange device.

This is one of the reasons why I don't believe in camera reviews by famous tech youtubers/writers.
They judge the image by the brand and for all we know, they are being sponsored to make a good write-up.

Sample 2.
I cropped and zoomed in to the subject.
Notice how less detail it is on the scarf.
Samsung needs to step up their game with their next flagship.
Hopefully S11 will have a competitive computational photography like Pixel phones. This is what Apple learned by copying Google with their "deep fusion" marketing gimmick term.

Night mode sample.
Left: Motorola One Zoom's "Night Vision"
Right: Note 10's "Night Mode"

I'm not hating Note 10 but this year, Apple fanboys should rejoice since the iPhone 11 series did a great job in improving their cameras while Samsung is still doing the same old image processing.

Cross fingers for an improved camera with the Android 10 update. happy.gif

2999RM for a USED Note10+ being sold in Shopee and Lazada.
Lol. Unless you read everything in the ad, you will definitely overlook their description that it's a used device.
The title itself is written "as new condition" so people are confusing this as brand new.

Whatever it is, you have already received the phone. BUT having said that, you still have the option to return the said item if you purchased through online sites such as Lazada or Shopee should you decide you do not want to accept the item.
We should be more careful next time, buying only from reputable dealers and also making sure it is a sealed set of possible. Eve SME advised its customers to accept only sealed sets.
*
There are 3 questionable things from the seller's response:

1. They applied another screen protector when in fact, all Note10s have pre-installed screen protector. Could it be that the phone is used that's why they have to replace the default screen protector due to unavoidable scratches?

2. Samsung stickers are not aligned. Why would it be misaligned? Unless it's not the actual box for the phone.

3. Developer options turned on (it has nothing to do with any Verizon bloatware).

Dynamic range is excellent but too much softening.
Samsung can't compete in bringing out detail into the shot.
But if you're not going to pixel-peep, you would think pictures look great as it is pleasing to the eye.

I'll be testing my dual sim Snapdragon Note 10 without limiting features with both sim cards inserted.
Let's see how it holds up compared to my Motorola One Zoom.

Hopefully battery life is decent enough as my daily driver. Decent for me is at least 4 hours SOT per full charge. (Moto One Zoom can last more than 7 hours so I'm not asking too much).

How is your Note 10+ experience so far bro?
Not a fair comparison as your Motorola One Zoom should only be running a full hd 1080p screen compared to the Note 10+ at WQHD screen. The Note 10+ with WQHD screen consumes a lot more battery juice.
*
Oh.. it's a Note 10 not the + version.
Both are running full HD+. So far it's ok. I'm enjoying the compact size compared to the One Zoom but i miss Moto gestures (chop twice to flashlight and twist to camera), Moto display (wave on top of the screen to check notification and especially the glowing Motorola logo for notification at the back).

Performance is definitely faster (675 vs 855) but I'm still getting used to the curved display (slight accidental touches here and there).

I've tried different versions of Gcam and although it worked pretty good, I can live with the decent camera quality of the stock camera. I'll just use Gcam if an iPhone user tries to compare camera side by side. Lol
